I've waited.

I've waited for days, and still you never showed up.

You have left my heart as empty as the space that surrounds me. It's been weeks since I've seen you. Day and night my heart would leap when someone showed up, but my love it was never you.
I long for the day when we will finally be together, when I can finally sate my thirst for consuming you, but only now do I see it will never be.
