Way to get extra stripper range, for solo miner?

I find the 15 km range on a Strip Miner II to be annoyingly low. Getting just a couple km extra would be very sweet.

But apart from gang bonuses, which aren't available to a solo miner, the only way I know to improve the range is to use the faction Ore Miner modules, which have a base range of 17 km, but can't use crystals. That seriously reduces yield, and furthermore they're very expensive (or at least they were, last time I looked).

Have I overlooked something?

I know with an Orca bonus I can get 22 km, 24 km, maybe even more, but I'm not asking for that. Just 2 or 3 extra kilometers, which would be very nice. Is there a way?

ORE *might* have implants as well (likely, I'm wrong here and they never made it to TQ).
ORE Strip Miners, though as noted, no crystals.

There's always "get an alt", or "ask one of your corpies to throw up Orca boosts"

I have two alts, but their subscriptions lapsed, because I'm a miserly git who can't be arsed to buy PLEXes for them. And I'd have to put in a lot of hours of mining in order to cover the cost of those PLEXes.

I find that by using $10 or $20 bills instead of being a cheapass, they're far more willing to extend for you.

That's it afaik.

Maybe try and make friends with someone that has an orca? I used to see people offering this a lot in the mining channel. Might be the best option if you want to stay solo.

Basically a copy/paste from an old forum post. Only costs you 3.8B (from 2011).

Each implant Alpha to Epsilon increases your range, Alpha doing the least, Epsilon doing the most. See here the stats:

Low-grade Harvest Alpha: 1% Bonus to range, 10% bonus to all other Harvest implants. +2 bonus to Perception.
Low-grade Harvest Beta: 2% Bonus to range, 10% bonus to all other Harvest implants. +2 bonus to Memory.
Low-grade Harvest Gamma: 3% Bonus to range, 10% bonus to all other Harvest implants. +2 bonus to Willpower.
Low-grade Harvest Delta: 4% Bonus to range, 10% bonus to all other Harvest implants. +2 bonus to Intelligence.
Low-grade Harvest Epsilon: 5% Bonus to range, 10% bonus to all other Harvest implants. +2 bonus to Charisma.
Low-grade Harvest Omega: 25% Bonus to all other Harvest implants.
