Proposition to rep the statue in Jita.

Shooting the monument in Jita did nothing to prompt the alleged change of course at CCP back to focusing on spaceships. Money was all that mattered, and apparently enough people cancelled and didn't buy GTCs that CCP noticed.

We distinguish the excellent man from the common man by saying that the former is the one who makes great demands upon himself, and the latter who makes no demands on himself.

Wait Wait Wait... if we are repping the statue and some one who is flagged starts repping the statue wont that flag us all then we all will be Concor'dokkened, and then the smart bombs will be unleashed , and then the statue gets damaged again, and then you will be posting again and , .... well you see where this is going ..

so just let the statue stand .. as a sign . We Will Never Forget !!!

STOP. STOP. STOP....

Ok. Now I have your attention....

Look up the word SURPRISE

and then

Look up the word ELABORATE

See the problem? Lol

Well, if they did elaborate properly we would be surprised - because we would have an exposition of the details that would bring unexpected information to the table, "bring out suddenly and without warning."

Instead, they didn't elaborate, they simple went "Watch This Space" - literally. So we're held in suspense.

Quote:
If two people sit at the table and the bomb suddenly goes off, Hitchcock explained, that's surprise. But if an audience watches the bomb get placed under the table, and the people at the table have an innocuous conversation, and the bomb is set to go off in a few minutes, and time ticks away while the audience fidgets -- that, said Hitchcock, is suspense."

Where I am.

You don't get flagged for interacting with a large collidable object..

Unless is that Large Collidable Object.. then you get another type of flag to wave around...

Repping the statue isn't important, except for as a symbolic gesture maybe. But it's not you guys who need to repair what has been broken, it's us. We will release more information on what we intend to do, but as so many have observed, it's actions that count and not words. It'll take some time but I am sure we can get there eventually. Smile

Its a symbolic gesture alright, showing that we can repair what we break as well. Even though we didn't break it... and wont really repair it... but you get the idea. All it takes is the correct attitude.

Shooting the statue had nothing to do with damaging it, since we knew that it could not be destroyed. The purpose was to create unacceptable amounts of lag and so shut down the main trade hub, thereby signalling to CCP the full measure of our displeasure.

Now I may be wrong, but won’t 400 people REPPING the stature have the same effect on server lag?

Does it? It's far more common than the Basilisk because it works with the current metagame of nano shield fleets.

I checked, its completely full of health.

It's meant to be symbolic, not literal.

Either way, I'm not sure what you're hoping to achieve with this thread. I don't think CCP will rush any new changes simply because we vow to sit and rep a structure O_o.

There is a slight chance that I already knew that and was just trying for some comedy.

What if it does take over 18 months?
Not like you can do much about it P

Wait I know!! You should get a job at CCP and help them directly.

It also received no physical damage when 700 people shot lasers at it. The damage is emotional.

The statue is still a wreck after what we've done to it.

It took till this post to realise that this thread is just plain odd.

Yeah i sometimes work too hard on trying to be serious while atempting to make a joke. It has been suggested to me that i start talking like the Elcor.

I wonder how sarcasm will work when you have to declare it.

Change the statue model to a damaged one under repair would have been impressive. Orbited by some NPC Guardians repping.
