EVE Online: Inferno 1.2 has been deployed successfully.

Inferno 1.2 brings a large amount of improvements, ..... blah blah blah

IMPROVEMENTS!?! From u guys? lmao.

Unable to download this "Improvement", which is normal for u guys considering ur past "Improvements", BUT, before I could just download ur "improvements" via the website. But, low and behold, u have F***ED that up too, 'cause it says instead that "patches will be downloaded by the "Improvement" Launcher".

I'm currently downloading what might be this "improvement", via another way, but considering that u have screwed up, what should be a simple process, I can only imagine what kind of mess u have made with this "Improvement" if and when I get in game.....

-1 congrats on another Sh!tty job

Was the Title "Inferno" given to this release because its a Steaming Pile of S**t? Most people embrace GOOD change Parasites embrace BAD change ccp supports the degradation of society

Ok, sound I reset my cache files through the EVE launcher and I still am experiencing that issue of me not getting my ore of any amount in my Retriever. Any clues on why this may be happening?

Are you looking in your cargohold or the new ore hold?

What!? It has an ore hold now!? how the crap do I get to that!?

Open up the inventory. select your ship. if it's not already open, open the tree view. select orehold.

(which generally comes down to: hit alt+c, select ore hold)

And you may be pleasantly surprised. it'll be 25,000 m3 or so. No, cargo rigs don't touch it.

XD Heck yes!!! I am a happy capsuleer now. Next time I get podded I will be cloned happy

Dear Tutorial Icon On the Sidebar,

I know you're a new face around here and I know it must be hard to keep yourself getting the attention you obviously crave, but could you please see fit not to re-appear every single time I log in? I've removed you every time but there you go re-appearing when I swap character and I'm starting to get just a teensy bit miffed with your blank, impassive and distressingly nude face haunting my every session change.

So please, can you see fit to stay away when I remove you? I'd be ever so grateful and I will finally be able to take the Being Stalked? hotline number out of my speed-dial list.

Much obliged,

Tommy

I dont know it is already in the bug list:

When I have my autopilot active and it goes to dock at a station, it tells me 2-3 times that the ship will dock

In some cases - ice mining with a mackinaw - it happens that one of the two harvester cycles doesn't fill the cargo with an ice block, recognized with different chars. Does anybody have this too?

Yes It has been happening even with the old Macks. Happens mostly with Orca support I have noticed.

Alts have been changed to protect the Innocent. You may have mistaken me for someone who cares.....

"The new tutorial will no longer open on log in if the show tutorial option is unchecked."

When will this come cause you must have forgotten it somewhere in your bugimprovement system..
Every time i log in there is this crap annoying "Tutorial" in my neocom. I remove it and when i log in again, well, woooosaaaa, it's there again.

Are you guys trained at Microsoft cause i never seen so many bugs and the bugs already ingame is not fixed before you implent some new ones. Just like Microsoft..

I would like to know if you are looking into the whole issue of the cargohold window not remembering its pinned location when docking/undocking/jumping/ and even changing ships?

Patch 1.2.3 seems to have fixed:

"A warning message about insufficient cargo will no longer be displayed when accepting a mining mission in a Mining Barge/Exhumer with sufficient free capacity in its ore hold."

It however did not fix the defect of the "Complete Mission" button for the mission not working, even though the ore is in the barges ore bay. Agents in the past were able to see and remove the ore in the cargo hold. I'm assuming they are not able to see and remove what is in the ore bay though.

I have noticed two minor bugs:

1 - the 'reset camera' button zooms in way too close to your ship, forcing you to zoom back out. This wasn't an issue before the major patch.
2 - mining missions do not allow you to complete them if the ore is located in your ore hold and requires you to move it to your item hangar in order for the agent to see it. This also wasn't an issue pre-patch.

Other than that, loving the update! Thanks and keep up the great work!

The Tutorial button on the Neocom keeps reappearing, no matter how many times I try to remove it. Is my client haunted and could you please make it stop?

Ok we're looking into this, but in the meantime we do have a workaround:

-First open the tutorials menu, which can be found from the top right of each tutorial window or from the help button in the neocom.
http://i.imgur.com/2G7Dd.jpg

-Then open the basic tutorial dropdown, double click on the last entry "Career agents".

-Finally click "Next" on the tutorial three times to finish the section.

The game now considers your character done the tutorial and won't bug you with it again.

The fact that people have to do this with every alt they create is not intended and we're working on it, but at least this will get it out of your way in the meantime.

This "workaround" does not work........

Haven't been on for extended play, so things listed are as they come in :

* Mercoxit Mining Crystal "Optimization" - my first thought ... wtf is this? a ganglink? The naming convention used is too close when compared to the Laser Optimization ganglinks. Here you have 2 very similar sounding items, which presents a potential for confusion. Additionally, when you repeat the word "Mining Crystal", you shift perception that it's an ammo charge, instead of a rig. Rigs, _in general_, should possess unique sounding names.

Take for example the Cargohold Optimization rig, at one glance, the above mining rig follows similar convention as this cargo rig. However, when you compare the Cargohold Optimization rig across the board for all cargohold items, you'll notice that's the name is rather unique. There is no confusion.

* Agent Mission display - this is something which I DON'T NEED. Collapsing the list does not solve the issue : screen clutter. I don't need "Agent Mission" screen clutter when I'm not *actively* doing missions. The basic configuration does not list an option to turn it off. If you've implemented a turn off function, it's buried somewhere unintuitively. Now, if the avg player spends more than 2-3 mins looking for a "turn off" switch in the most common places without avail, then you've failed in your UI design.

Edit : *actively* is defined as spending the time in a mission system, doing missions. Deliberately delayed missions, especially the Epic Arc missions are non-active. A mandatory reminder, while I can understand it's nice to younger players, simply grates on those who's been playing this game for a longer period.

* The ship cargo window. Specifically, there are 2 behaviour patterns for the ship cargo window which destroys consistency. There are 2 quick ways to open a ship's cargo - a) double click on ship while in station b) click on the cargohold button. Since you made the windows persistent, a) and b) behaves differently and clashes with each other. Exaample : ehen you open a cargohold with a) method, resize and position it at a screen corner .. and then close it. Aftwerwards, undock and re-open your cargohold with the b) method ... notice where your cargohold opens.

* The goddamn autopilot still fails to dock when you have a fullscreen client minimized into the background in Windows XP. Heck, I'm not even going to waste time testing it on manual dock, it will still most likely fail as well. This is a LONGSTANDING issue which still remains unfixed. How many bug reports do I need to open for this? 1000+?

So put an expanded cargohold with your cyno alts. This is certainly a problem that requires whining of your magnitude.

Its not about that, heck, I had to put MAPCs with the chars before heh.

Its about why CCP decided to make the amarr rookie ships inferior compared to the others.

It makes no sense and THAT requires a whine (I could use some cheese as well though).

The year is 2012 A.C. The eve client is entirely occupied by the configuration settings. Well, not entirely... One small tutorial icon of indomitable will still holds out against the user configured UI.
