CCP is a creative and technically brillant group. However, what are the collaborative efforts of 200 wokers compared to the collaborative efforts of 350,000 workers?! 200 people working on creative solutions is great, but if CCP could tap into the creative problem-solving of its subscriber base, then it would literally multiply its 'problem solving' potential by 1000 fold. They do this somewhat already with the 'Features & Ideas' Forum, but most ideas are quick request and poorly thought out.

Here's what I propose: Similar to how rewards are given out to botting intelligence; *IF* a player proposes a very well thought out idea or solution on the F&ID board that solves a game-problem, add a cool feature, or enriches gameplay, that CCP ultimately accepts and implements, then CCP should reward that player with a 3-6 month of game-time. That should increase the quality of suggestions in the Idea's Forum and should allow CCP to better tap into the shear manpower of creative thinking that its subscriber base could represent (rather than just proposing changes and then having flamewars on the General Discussion forum).

Ideas that have promise are critiqued by CCP and ultimately to the CSM for approval. If deemed worthy for implementation, then the originator of idea receives an appreciative reward when the idea is finally implemented. There need be no announcements of winners, or publicity on CCPs part. But if you do have a player (or group of players) that are contributing to improving the game and offer a good contribution, then they should be rewarded for their contribution.

Hope you give it some thought.

As nice as it sounds. This will just increase the frequency of terrible idea reposts.

I'm not sure it's such a good idea to announce rewards for ideas. I think that a lot of people will post even crappier ideas just to get their hands on a PLEX. Maybe it will stimulate others to put more thought in their ideas. But what I think will happen is that people will only post in this forum to get rewards. Players who love this game and want to make it better will still try to improve it by posting ideas and feedback regardless if they get paid or not. Introducing rewards will just bring a wave of useless threads and people that think 'they fixed the game'.

The only thing I'd like to see is more devs/gms scouting this forum and _posting_ their feedback on some of the ideas. It's quite a buzzkill having to bump a thread everyday and not getting a single response from any dev. A simple 'forwarded to the team responsible with this' should be enough. And if you'd like some sort of reward for getting your idea implemented, I think a mention in a devblog should suffice.

If you're gonna post here thinking your idea is the greatest thing since bacon and that it will save EVE and possibly all humankind with it, you're gonna have a bad time.

they can't normally announce if it's being worked on, but it would be nice if when they saw them they would shut down the threads with absolutely terrible ideas like the near constant requests for arenas, secondary and tertiary servers, and training multipliers.
