ECCM Question

When expecting mild to moderate ECM what's the appropriate level of ECCM? My initial thought is to fit a single racial ECCM mod, but really I am oblivious on how to counter ECM tactics.

If you are EXPECTING ECM, fit at least 1 ECCM and have someone bring along some info links.

the best way to counter ecm is to blow them up!

As others have indicated, you're pretty much there. (Not sure how much of a deal Eos-bonused vs Proteus-bonused vs unbonused info links are, considering the Sensor Integrity link is wimpy compared to ECCM, which makes no sense :P)

On a related note: what do you do when you're dealing with those blinkin' Gurista Jam-Alls? (Besides prioritizing jamming ships, which is hard if you're just kicking around some patch of Gurista space (ninja-)belt-ratting.)

If you're worried about possible ECM, you fit an ECCM in that spare mid slot of yours.

If you're confident that they'll have ECM, you make room for an ECCM module.

If you know they're gonna have a ton of ECCM, you do the above+info links.

If you know they're gonna have a ton of ECCM and have a decent sized fleet set up just for this fight, you bring remote ECCM+info links, possibly adding ECCM modules on relevant ships in case your remote ECCM chain fails.

1 ECCM, but the best counter to significant ECM is more ECM -- bring along a Falcon or Rook with all Caldari jammers.

tbh, 1 ECCM doesnt do **** against a falcon.

take this fight for example:
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12551023

i fought them a bit initially with no ECCM and was perma jammed so i bailed.
i came back after swapping both webs on my loki for dual ECCM and ran it permanently overloaded.
i was still getting jammed about 50% of the time untill i killed the falcon.

you need either weight of numbers or your own ECM to get rid of hostile ECM ships.
that said, the ECCM implant sets are nevry nice to have, especially on high base sensor strength ships like faction BSs or dissilusion sequencer T3s.
