but high sec is suppose to be safe.....

its where most trading is done, surely the corps who run there stations would want secure space?

The empires have their navies to police their space and keep it "mostly" safe from pirates. We (capsuleers) are above the control of the empires (see: the novels), so they have the CONCORD Assembly to police us.

it makes perfect sense.......

you have lowsec for pirate runs/raids
nillsec for pvp and what ever you want...

the only reason you'd want to pvp in highsec is just to grief new players....

thats what all this moaning is about.

why not change all the crying posts to the same topic "i play eve so i can kill noobs, i don't pvp in nilsec because i fail at real pvp"

like in my other post. if thats how you get your rocks off griefing new players. then just remove the game client and make eve better for the rest of us.

Or blow up a POS, or keep that other corp away from the asteroid belts, or sell something on the market, or keep that guy from selling his stuff on the market, or ... play EVE in general ...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

What Im saying is that as it is today High Sec is not working as intended by CCP, not unless everytime they speak in public they are fool of ****. Every video and piece of information I see about High Sec from CCP indicates that there intent is to make it safer.
You need to re-watch them, then. What they're doing is making it less messy, both code-wise and rules-wise. The safety of the highsec population is never really a factor.

I can't comment on conversations you have had, or people you have met, but using your argument methods... prove it else it didn't happen.
Go have a look in the various post-FF (and during-FF, for that matter) threads on CrimeWatch.

suicide ganking 75% of the time in highsec is just griefing.
If that were true, you'd think we'd hear a lot more stories about people being banned, seeing as how griefing isn't allowed in this game.

when it isn't grefing, i find most are done in lowsec on trade routes.
Just fyi: there is no suicide ganking in lowsec.

My only real complaint about dumbing down is the proposed "safety" switch to be included in CrimeWatch, which would make it impossible to loot from another person's container without first disabling the safety. And I only take issue with it because there were ALREADY warnings that doing so could result in violence, and CCP was capitulating to the idiots who don't read things before clicking buttons in adding the new safeties.

Safety in my EvE Online? Shocked

Game is fixed.

Removing local I think would be the single best thing that could possibly happen to the game. I don't know about the other two, I have no opinion about it.

well hey risk/reward is already out the window so we might as well throw away the idea of people actually living outside of hisec

npc alts have no opinions worth consideration

My question is if EVE was really harder back then.

If you started in 2004-2006 there would've been thousands of other people flying the same ****-fits you were having as little clue about the game as yourself. Now, in 2012, you're thrown in to a sea of 20m+ SP Sharks ready to eat you up at a moments notice. Flying Cynabal's or Tengu's in full snake / crystal sets vs newbies in Kessies and Rifters. Knowing all the tricks and beeing familiar with all the tools.

The disadvantage of beeing inexperienced proportionally increases with other players experience.

Without high sec, you don't have the ability to make gobs of money to buy your shiny pvp ships. High sec if fine, there are plenty of low and null systems to go fight it.

But wait, you're probably only interested in toasting easy to kill noobs because you'd get your ass smeared in seconds in sov space.

The problem isn't what is currently happening; those changes aren't too significant (e.g. barge buff). The problem is what most people with brains see coming in the future. For instance, it's pretty clear what direction CCP Greyscale wants the game to go, and it is not one that most veterans or PvPers are ok with.

Not only do you people make it easy to kill you, but you also make it very profitable to do so. Now as for getting smeared in sov space, theres a reason why people know me as Megaman.

If I get smeared or not depends if the logi can lock my ship in time to rep me.

Maybe if I skilled myself more I could tank a blob (with ASBs?) but nah.
