So if you do follow the code, don't afk mine etc, but don't pay the ten million your minions still gank us when we hi-sec mine?

First time I get on in months and thats what happened, needed to stock up some veld and got taken intercepted by New Order after 2 minutes in the system, they tried to convince me to pay 10 million for mining rights, when I refused to pay, they opened fire.

Make sure to follow the Code, which also requires you to have a mining license and pledge of loyalty in your bio. Thanks!

I am shocked this is allowed to happen. Out right extortion? Causing people to quit the game? And the fact that people are paying to see it done is the biggest surprise. I truly am astounded at the level of immaturity displayed here. All for the sake of some goofy role-play hook. Look I can understand being annoyed at the AFK miners, as I mine a lot. But to hound other people actually playing just because they don't fit into your narrow view of how the game should be played is flat out bullying.

Many times I have bumped an AFK miner away but I never tried to make myself look like a hero for it.
It's the extortion that I disagree with and I have an idea that's all this is about; targeting those incapable or unwilling to fight back. If you want to be a hero do something actually heroic, not picking on the little kids. You have the imagination to do something better and less mean spirited.

They can't protect themselves not because they are fragile little kids without power. They can't protect themselves because they don't bother to be there to do it.

Tell me, why should it be OK for people to use bots ? Why should the rest of us just accept it ?
Like : "Mneh, if so many do it, then I guess we should join them or at least accept it"

This game was supposed to be about players. How do your AFK miners fit in this ?

And you call this extortion. Very well, let's say it is.
If scamming is allowed? Why not extortion ? Who are you to decide which behavior can stay and which should leave ?
