Disappearing curser in game

I just down loaded the game fresh on a new HD. Now in game my curser does not show up unless I move my mouse. Once I stop my mouse the curser disappears again. I dont know if the new version has anything to with it. The game launcher also is not working.

Anyone have ideas on the curser?

Curser is bugged for years now. It sometimes stays as a resize symbol (right/left or up/down arrow) too.
