How do stacking penalties work?

On items it says they suffer a penalty when using more than one of the same item...


Does this just refer to using 2 armor explosive hardeners?

Will I get a penalized for using 1 armor explosive hardener, and 1 anti-explosive pump rig?

What about 1 armor explosive hardener, and 1 damage control?

It's based on the bonus, not the module. In you case, any module that adds explosive resists (apart from damage control and the shifting hardener) will be account for by stacking penalties.

Hgihest bonus counts as first, second highest as second etc etc. So if you have 3 modules all giving expl resists, one being 50%, 2nd 30 and the 3rd 20% then that 50% one gets counted for full, the 30% for 87% and the 20% for 57%.

Modules and rigs with the same effect are penalized, the only exceptions being:
* Damage Control
* Implant bonuses
* Ship based bonuses
* Skill based bonuses

Was not an attack or something. But usually a quick google search gives you a lot of info.
But like you said, always look at the date of the website.
