Player Features and Ideas Discussion

I recently read something roughly affiliated in the CSM meeting minutes:

Is it possible to have the solar system map being opened in a transparent style, similiar to like the 'diablo II' map? Including my Dscan cone? Right now it's either the map or space, would love to have :)

- a button to activate this map/normal HUD overlapping each other, and
- another button to switch between interacting with the map or my 'usual-in-space' environment, while both windows are still visible.

If people have problems understanding the exact idea, I will add a picture to visualize it...
