Only militia members should be able to dock at militia stations and only these stations should flip with occupancy, with system upgrades only affecting these stations.

All non-militia stations should have remained completely unaffected and open to anyone. This would have yielded far more interesting gameplay.

That would be meaningless since the militias would just base out of neutral stations. But maybe if station lockout from neutral stations was tied to how contested system was - e.g. you need to keep system at <50% to lock out enemies from neutral stations (militia stations are always in the hands of the sov holder and should change corp appropriately).

I disagree - if militia station upgrades were useful (can't really tell if they currently are - e.g. additional invention slots would be nice), militias holding occupancy have a benefit over the enemy militia as well as neutrals.

Not locking out the enemy militia out of an entire system (if it has neutral stations) would also encourage fighting, since the losing militia would be able to reship in neutral stations - they just miss out on all the benefits the side holding occupancy has.

Of course, to make it work, current fubared plexing and flipping mechanics would need to be fixed.

the pointis so active enemy fleets can't dock. They aren't trying to stop everyone from docking. Just not letting forward attacking fleets easy escape and repair.

It's perfect the way it is now

There should however be FW member only bonuses for systems on top of the public ones to ncourage joining a side to get faster blueprint copy times or something.
