Hello everyone,

I am writing this because when I was a very young pod of goo everyone told me to stay out of low sec and null sec and that the game can be very enjoyable in high sec. I still went to low sec and upon my first jump, BAM! Gate Camp! I then joined up with a good group of indis and did the high sec thing, but then they showed me how to scan down anoms! I found one which led to a C1 wormhole and started to mine some juicy ark! I got blown up. I convoyed my attacker not complain, but to ask how to do what he did to me. I then joined that WH corp and asked again about null sec. I was told the same thing about null sec and to stay out. So I did. I stayed in WH space for over a year going from this hole to that hole until I left my corporation to go solo in a C4 with a pair of tengus. That was fun, but I really missed the multiplayer aspect of this game so I took down my POS and headed back to high sec to figure things out.

I chatted with some other corps including null sec ones and finally gave one a try, half expecting to hate. I mean after all, null sec is nothing more than CTA CTA CTA CTA right? So i gather my belongings and head to the far edge of high half expecting to get blown up. My corp thankfully gave me some good intel on a nice low sec gate and off I went! I was very nervous about jumping my carrier through low and null, after all, it was my first time jumping a carrier. I was for certain that I would lose it, but my corp gave me great instructions. I landed at my null sec home! I couldn't believe it! No body killed me!

I have spent a very short time out here in null, 2 weeks, but I can tell you this. It isn't what I was told. My corp is a blast to hang out with. My alliance always has something going on and is very helpful. Yes the money is good, but the fun and excitement is what is going to keep me here. There is this rigid military structure out here, but quite the opposite. I am finding more opportunities to do thing out here than anywhere else, including WH space.

My advice to the new capsuleer is not believe everything that is being said about null sec. Come out here and have a look! But remember, play the game how you want to play it, don't let other people's ideologies and opinions stand in your way.

0.0 sucks, 0.0 PvP is great for newbies though, I mean it cant get any harder than listening to an emo FC and pressing F1.
