Manufacturing Special Ships

Hey all,

This is probably a stupid question, but is there any way to manufacture ships like the Caldari Navy Hookbill or a pirate ship like the Worm? I can't find blueprints for them so Im assuming I'm either stupid or not looking in the right place.

Thanks to anyone who responds. Cheers!

You can make all the pirate and faction ships, but as far as I'm aware, you can only get BPCs for them.

To get them, you either need to:

A: Grind up the standings with them and gain LP and buy them from their faction specific LP stores.
or
B: Buy the BPCs from contracts.

I don't recommend buying from contracts. Last time I looked a few months ago, they were selling BPCs for more than the ships were worth. That might have changed though, you'll have to look into that yourself.

Ah so I was just looking in the wrong place.

I appreciate it. Thanks!

The Worm BPC is a rare drop from a rare spawn in a high-sec security mission that only lets Frigates in. I forget the name of the mission, but some of my corp mates tried getting one before we moved to null sec. Or, you can suck up to the pirates.

As for the Caldari Navy Hookbill, here is the loyalty point stores that offer the ships and blueprints.

Another very helpful reply!

Thanks for the tip about the mission. Do you remember what level the mission is? Or what corp the agent works for? No problem if you can't remember, I was just wondering.

As for pirate ship BPCs :

They can be dropped by faction rats ( happens for frigates and can theoretically happen for bigger ships as well but it never happened to me ) or deadspace overseer rats/structures ( happens more often, can get cruiser/battleship BPCs that way )

Faction rats can spawn in :

complexes ( cosmic signatures, both rated and unrated )
anomalies ( random final spawn )
asteroid belts
stargates ( low/null )
some missions ( that is very rare )

Deadspace overseer rats/structures are found only in complexes ( both rated and unrated ).

Where to get them :

Frigate BPCs ( Dramiel, Daredevil, Worm etc. ) - hisec
Cruiser BPCs ( Vigilant, Cynabal etc. ) - lowsec
Battleship BPCs ( Vindicator, Machariel etc. ) - nullsec

Buying BPCs on contracts ( pirate BPCs at least ) is pointless if you want to produce them for profit.

For faction BPCs such as the Caldari Navy Hookbills a good place to start is Faction Warfare. Many FW players cash out their LP to obtain BPCs and then place them on the open market through contracts. The profits aren't huge but some players may sell them to you discounted for bulk purchases.

Just as an aside I have a few Raven Navy Issue BPCs to sell if you are interested. Smile
