Question for CCP Greyscale - pirate implants & stuff

Since inferno 1.2 is puting pirate implants on market:

- Market and Contracts

Added Pirate faction implants to the market.
Reorganized hardwiring implants on the market so that players are better able to find implants they want.

I have some questions.

I've done Amarr COSMOS and it seems that Republic Special Ops Field Enhancer - Gamma doesn't drop anymore from that cosmos mission.
I only get Shaqil's Speed Enhancer and some other t-2 implants from that mission.

Is that drop rate going to be changed ? or are you removing Republic Special Ops Field Enhancer - Gamma and Imperial Special Ops Field Enhancer - Standard from game ?


Also new database was cleaned up so that Elite Apocalypse Khanid, Serpentis Duke, Sparrow, Regulator, Infested Dominix .. etc etc etc and alot of items doesn't exist anymore.
Are you planning to use these unused TypeID's for new items or are you just removing them because those items/ships can't be used by players..

I have no idea what's up with implant stuff, I've not made any changes to them at all. I'll ask around and see if anyone in the office knows what's going on (it might be Tuxford's doing and he's on vacation).

Deleted items were deleted entirely. We don't have any shortage of IDs, we're just trying to not have unused stuff sitting around in the DB causing potential confusion Smile

Hey,

So for Inferno 1.2 no changes were made (at least not by me or that I am aware of) to the drop rate of any of the implants.

I did not specifically look at the drop rate of every implant either, all I checked when adding the implants to the market was that:
A) Some quantity of them exist in the universe.
B) The implants did something. There are actually some implants that exist in the universe that no longer do anything and don't drop. I didn't add those. I did still add things like the CA-1 and CA-2 implants which were gifts to players and we have no intention of making more of.

I did take a quick look at the Republic Special Ops Field Enhancer - Gamma implant. It is in a loot table, and that loot table is used, but checking the actual drop rate (how many have been created) this year shows that things are a bit... off. I will investigate this a bit further and get back to you.

Looked a bit more into it, specifically about the "Republic Special Ops Field Enhancer - Gamma" implant and confirmed the loot table it is in is used by something, and that something is spawned in a mission, and that mission is being done. So everything appears to be working fine right now.

That does not mean the COSMOS mission you are running is dropping it though. A change may have been made there, I don't know specifically which mission you are running, but I can tell you the implant is dropping somewhere in the galaxy. :)

While you are looking at implants, Killing Zor in Damsel in Distress or Right Hand of Zazzmatazz was droping always 1 implant and on ocassion 2 implants.
Zor's Custom Navigation Link - is still dropping every time but Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link havent droped even once in a lot over 20 missions, there somes to be something wrong there, I know I have bad luck when it comes to drop rate of things, but this is ridiculus now, I used to get one every 5 to 10 missions.

Can you please look into this as well while checking other implants?

I must regretfully inform you kind sir that your luck when killing Zor in fact just sucks right now. That is probably a compensation though for your amazing luck before. I took a quick look and while I don't wan't to say the exact percentage that it drops, I can confirm it does still exist in the loot table and it is dropping at the expected rate.

can Whelan Machorin's Ballistic Smartlink be buffed so it isn't exactly the same as the 5% missile rate of fire implant? It's sort of stupid that it gives exactly the same bonus despite the method you get it.

Maybe a second bonus like the modified gnome implant?

I did whole COSMOS storyline for Minas Iksan (Fort Kumar), Kenobanala 0.3 system.

Shaqil's Speed Enhancer dropped, however the other implant didn't.
