Sorry but I honestly think GW2 will end up as one of those games that steel your soul for a week but after that are completely old and you realize theirs nothing new or exciting about it after all.

I would second the M&B Warband Mod mentioned earlier; it looks and sounds fantastic, though I haven't played it because I refuse to join the site to download it.

I had to toss a coin to decide on whether to buy Secret World or Guild Wars 2. Secret world won.

I'm enjoying it. It's different from other cookie cutter MMOs out there. It's a modern day horror MMO with guns and magic and melee weapons. The game has many faults but I believe much of it is because it's a new game. Much of the problems will be smoothed out within 6 months or so.

Animations are a little clunky, player grouping and interaction is confusing, lag hinders PvP, and item icons seem like place holders.

Still with all these problems, I'm enjoying it. Not enough to be my main MMO, eve will always be my main. Rather, it will be my side MMO to play when there's nothing going on in eve ( which is usually the case).

I do like picking and customizing my abilities. My character shoots an AK-47 and throws lightning bolts and fireballs. I almost went shotgun, but assault rifle seems more fun. I'm still tooling around in Kingsmouth and the zombie infection, so I can't say anything about higher content. But from what I've seen and experienced so far I like it.

playing another mmo besides eve is a desperate need to find something new. i hate to be negative here but it won't happen until world of darkness or blizzard titan. there's more opportunity in the single player department.

I'm finding again the pleasure of the X3 series. You know, all you can do in EvE but in a relaxed pace and saving features.

And the visuals... I know EvE visuals are great and they are not better due to lag issues but... one can dream about.

I keep recommending World War II Online: Battleground Europe to everybody. One huge side vs. side war, with infantry (multiple weapon types), tanks, aircraft and some naval action. It takes a lot of skill, but not a lot of ongoing commitment to your character or a corp. Here's a gameplay video.
