Hello, I am having troubles launching EvE on my laptop.

It runs with Windows 7 and has all the minimum requirements, but when I click Play on the launcher the screen flashes a few times, then I'm back on Windows with the Login Screen music playing in background, when I try to click on the EvE client tab nothing happens except for my mouse cursor disapearing. The only way to fix it is to ctrl + alt + del then kill the EvE process.

Any advices ? I tried repairing / fresh install, it didn't work.

I am having similair problems on my laptop, Eve used to work before inferno, but since I downloaded inferno patch it seems to have these problems.

Graphics options seem to be ok, direct x is at the latest version and 9c is also installed.
My laptop has a AMD video card and the latest 12.6 software version.

Aaaaaaaand it's gone!

I tried to start the game seconds ago and the exact same bug is back. Still no answer to my petition.

I guess I'll just play Dust until they fix this...

This may seem like a stupid question, but have you updated your graphics drivers recently?

If your client defaulted to FullScreen mode, as opposed to windowed mode, and your desktop has a different resolution than your EVE install/client, your graphics card may just metaphorically throw its hands up in the air and give up after trying to change the resolution to something that works.

In short, try this:
1. Update Graphics Drivers
2. Manually change your desktop resolution (go from small to large, until you hit whatever your EVE install has the resolution set to)
3. 100% uninstall eve and reinstall the client (might be a corrupted file in the appdata folder or a broken registry key)
4. Hope CCP responds to a petition fast :)

This is all that i can think of, hope it helps.

Ok now I have reïnstalled eve finally, it still doesn't work and has the same problems.
I am thinking it has something to do with the videocard, but nothing has changed except for eve and the drivers of the videocard.
