I get a wierd error when I enter warp, is almost as if a lightly graphically distorted box is partially over my screen. As soon as I land it goes away and my screen looks normal again.

No idea whats causing it. Already reset graphics to default and ran the eve repair tool.

Any ideas?

Could it be the setting on your graphics card (in Windows I assume) where you disabled the vsync of the card?

Looks like a syncing problem to me.

Exploration is Random. Random is Random... or is it?! http://docs.python.org/2/library/random.html

Indeed, looks like screen tearing but not 100% from that 1 pic.
Display Interval 1 is the default iirc and should fix it.

Edit: Actually, is it not quite to the edges, with the trailing edge's contours following the warp effect's shape? Could be a graphics driver/compatibility issue with generating the warp effect correctly.
