depends how much isk you make.
Just take a look at your wallet, and see how much you will get in an hour. if you trade LP - count those in too.
Then - if you have noctis, think you'll be getting around 5-20 millions (20 if you're lucky) per hour for salvaging lvl 3 missions for an hour.

it's totaly up to you decide if it's worth your time.

Typically salvaging is a good idea as the salvage becomes more valuable as you become more rich. However if you don't like salvaging, then don't because this is a game and you should have fun. (There's a large back-and-forth argument about which pays better, blitzing for the LPs or salvaging for the mods and scrap. As many people argue both sides convincingly I think you should just go with what you like. Some days I feel like salvaging, some days I don't.)
In fact, L3 is a good place to start salvage as you'll be getting a lot of cruiser and BC sized wrecks which start dropping some decent mods. These can be very useful to you if you eventually go PVP or for others hence a better resale possibility.
Also, if you have plenty of isk and your primary goal is not isk but rather faction or corp standings, then blitzing the missions is more important and salvage should be curtailed for a while.
As for the ship, the Noctis is the queen of salvage. You can use a destroyer until you get skilled, but it isn't even the princess of salvage...it's more like the fat whore of salvage.

I have Noctis in o.o where its bonuses really metters cuz you have to get job done fast. But ih hs a simple destroyer such as trasher can be more than enough for L3's; getting over 1.100 m/s with 1MN and having like 650m2 of cargo space is quite ok .So 1.1 mil against 80 mil...

If you have to worry about your noctis being blown up while salvaging (making the assumption that you are talking about standard, high-sec missions), then you are doing something wrong (missioning while at war, etc).

Just remember that you can not tractor stuff while moving at 1,100m/s because destroyers don't get a tractor speed bonus like the Noctis does. Unbonused tractors pull stuff in at 500m/s.

As for the whole "is salvaging worth it" question...
Personally, this is just my opinion and the way I mission, I basically never loot or salvage missions (with the exception of Surprise Surprise mission which drops some 5mil Caldari Insignias). When I was grinding L2/L3 missions, I would never loot or salvage because my only concern was getting access to L4 missions ASAP. Once I got L4 access, my only concern was making as much ISK as possible per HR so I could afford to go do fun stuff as often as possible. I blitz L4 missions, which means I get more missions done per hr, and hence I earn more LP. LP accounts, by far, for the majority of my mission income, so stopping to loot or salvage would be like taking a pay cut. For me, more ISK per hr, means I need to do less hours of mission-running, which means more hours for other stuff. Also, I don't really LIKE doing missions, some people love missioning, but for me, it's just a means to an end. I am sure there are people that feel the exact opposite from how I feel and how I choose to mission. As with anything in a game or in real life, listen to other people's opinions and then form your own opinions based on your own wants, needs, and beliefs.

Blitzing is DEFINITELY the way to go in low or null sec. The increased rewards make it worth it. In hi sec, it's debatable. Depends on the mission pops, rat types/bounties, number of jumps, what your average loot/salvage time is, etc...

There's about 6 missions I loot/salvage in hi sec... everything else gets blitzed.
