@CCP's Art-Team: About That Celestis/Lacheisis/Arazu...

(Mods: Maybe this technically belongs in F&I, although I don't want it buried in that charnel-pit of "NURRRVCLAOKING!!!oneoene" and "ZOMGOPDRAEK!!" and "RAMOOV TENGOO FRM GAEM!!!" just yet, soooo...Humour me a little, willya?)

Yeah, so I got an Arazu recently (I <3 <3 cloaky-cloaky-no-seez-meh, in case my posting history doesn't make that clear), but the other reason that one puts a cloak on it -- namely, so you don't have to see the bloody thing! -- got me thinking:

Given the bang-up awesome job you guys did on revamping the four Stealth Bombers (Manticore: Best-looking ship in the game at present, IMHO), and especially how massively better the Gallente Nemisis-class of same now looks -- "Most-Improved" award definitely goes to that one -- then could you guys/gals pleasepleasepleaseplease PLEASE see your way to re-doing the Celestis/Lacheisis/Arazu models in the same vein/motif?

Pretty-please?

Seriously, it looks like some kind of puffer-fish...ummm...thing...whose mother took Thalidomide, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that it's badly in need of re-imagining/re-vamp.

You guys made the Nemisis look so elegantly, properly evil, so this gives me hope for the Gallente EWar cruiser/Recons in turn.

Thanks guys, [/Huggles] <3ulots, kbai.

(All others, I know there's no arguing taste, so: Discuss.)

Its functionality is quite beautiful, indeed...Form, not so much. Sorry, but it just isn't.

Leave the Arazu alone. It's a beautiful little bumble-bee.

Aaaah, but think how much more so it would be as an edgy "evil manta-ray with under-slung big engines" like the Nemmi, though...

…but the Lachesis could do with getting its old appearance back: it had both a go-faster-red paint job and a spoiler! P

I preferred the old Fat Man look.

No arguing taste, like I said.

But man, the Celestis/T II versions really do look wrong (the proportions across the long.- and transverse-axii seem "off" to me, always have.).

Even the Moa has a certain "properly-put-together" coldly functional brutality to it, whereas the Celli/T II versions are just....

...

...Like random blobs of blobs, with these...extra blobby appendages...stuck on kinda "wherever," kinda "just because," basically.

Before my time, I think.

Got a convenient pic?

(Although I do remember the pink/red Phobos, which makes me lol to this day -- yes, I'm a physically-mature/increasingly physically-decrepit child, and I like me that way just fine--Phobos penis-game, best penis-game!)

The Curse is one of EVE's better looking ships, true.

They just need to re-skin it in proper Khanid Shipworks black again. The Amarr skins are all...muddy, now, and that maeks meh haz a sad :(

The Celestis-model is like one of those space-creatures out of one of the early (Super-Nintendo era) StarFox games, but gone quite badly wrong. (Blown up in the microwave, then hastily re-assembled, maybe?)

I like the Lachesis/Arazu look, a little odd no doubt but somehow I think it looks right for the role it performs, or maybe I just think that because that hull is 1 of 2 non rust based hulls i fly....
