Isk problems

The solution I see is to have CCP provide services that are not available from players. I like the idea of possible neural or facial remaps for a large (like a billion ISK) fee. The name change controversy which was already covered in another thread, but might be an option. I also like the idea of using ISK to get instant jump clone switch.

The increase on cost for founding a corporation is also a great idea since it is currently ridiculously cheap. Seriously 200m ISK still would feel like a decent deal to found a corporation.

Could also change mission time bonus rewards from isk to LP bonus.

CCP would have to adjust the tag reqs for a number of items though. They could also look at adding faction varients of items that don't currently have them (DMG CNTRLS, ECCM, Sig Amps, etc.)

ex.

currently...... mission payout 2,000,000 isk

time bonus 2,000,000 isk

LP 2,500 lp

to................ mission payout 2,000,000 isk

time bonus 1,000 lp

LP 2,500 lp

I'll be honest, I've never considered the time bonus on missions being an LP bonus. Frankly, I think that's a great idea. It might even help increase the rate of spending in LP stores, which is another ISK sink. It's actually kind of obvious, now that I think about it.

I apologize for my terse and rude response, but I believe you haven't done a thorough job researching and your seemingly weak understanding of economics do not help make your points more valid.

Inflation is not always necessarily a "bad thing." CCP did a wonder by making EVE's economy have some resemblance to our real-world economy. As CCP noted before, if there is a sign of "hyper-inflation," CCP will simply introduce mechanism to tax the capsuleers.

Also, if you are a sound investor, you should know that if you expect the inflation rate to increase in the foreseeable future, you can easily invest in other commodities or materials that are not adversely affected by the devaluation of the currency.

I think EVE is a harsh world. Just like how people who suck at PvP (me) gets punished by the loss of ships, EVE tests players in every other aspects, including finances. If you can not hedge/insure your position due to your lack of understanding in economics, you will be worse off than those with more knowledge about the market.

If you are so afraid of inflation adversely affecting your net worth, I suggest that you simply invest in something that upholds values in the future.

Only a fool keeps his or her entire investment in ISK. You can think of them as someone in real-life who keeps their cash under the mattress.

Oh and this post should go to "Features and Ideas" Section of the forum.

Oh and this "issue" has been debated over hundreds of pages on the "Market Discussion" Forum section. You should go there since there are those who spend countless hours churning numbers and data with vastly more grasp of economic knowledge than the average Joe on the "General Discussion" section of the Forum.

Oh there is a solution, but there would be a lot of "canceled subs" because of it.

That is not a solution, that will actually make the problem worse. Asset wipe means those people who are really clever with the economy will gain a huge lead over the less cluedul. Those people who understand nullsec mechanics better will get a huge lead over those who don't.

An asset wipe does not reset the game to having everyone at the same level. The better players will be able to leverage their expertise to advance much faster when everyone else in the game doesn't have their favored production capital in place.

It would address the issue of inflation though :)

I can't help but feel that I failed to make myself understood. I'm not panicking over inflation, but I've been playing off and on a very long time. The cost of living has changed in the most simplistic of terms. It's a long simmering minor issue, and one that I would like to see if not resolved then managed better with some new, interesting or useful mechanics.

I am aware that this topic has been discussed prior. But where's the harm in brainstorming?

To be perfectly honest, I haven't done full research. I'm not ready to write out proposals, nor do I have a complete understanding of all things eve and economical. This is as much an information gathering tool as it is anything else. Is there anything wrong with doing due diligience and brainstorming prior proposing something to experts?

They have. They'd only be around for about a month (December - January?) before becoming useless.

We need snowballs and snowball launchers back.

WTB functional snowballs, In ISK or LP.

Furthermore would like to see complete elimination of the NEX store and the AUR currency as a whole, replaced by BPO's and BPCs with production conducted via PI resources.

Lets be honest here...

All your suggestions are to remove ISK from the game. Which ok I do agree there is too much of it about.

The real problem is most people fund thier accounts with ISK buying plex.... 9 out of 10 people would either quit or atleast cut down on thier numbers of alts the day they had to pay with RL cash.

I fear removing ISK from the game would have a knock on effect and be the final straw which broke the cammels back.

What about fitting fees?
Think of the people (or equipment) that has to fit your ships. It could cost something.
Note that it should be a minimal amount to not offset the number of refits but seeing as how often we do change fittings it could easily prove to be a decent ISK sink perhaps.
