A new gas ship could freshen up the industry but how am I supposed to roleplay a miner, out on the limits of civilised space, bashing my ship with giant wrenches to keep it going and chewing on ore, evading space pirates if my ship is all heavily tanked.

It's not meant to be a combat vessel, a Thrasher is. Hulks also have a far superior tank to a Thrasher.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you probably don't even mine and if you do, you do it in nullbear space. just a hunch.

Because, for some reason, a game where the community focuses on killing ships that can't shoot back is not drawing in the subscriber base they expected. Maybe they finally realized they would like you to focus on harder tasks that actually make the game... emergent.

Also, please educate me on "Hulk were never intended for HiSec" Where does it say that? Capital Ships and Titan/SuperCap construction was never intended for HiSec, as a result, they are banned in lowsec by game mechanics (ban in Hisec=true). Please show me where this was the case for Hulks? Description? Announcement? Are the restrictions broken?

Thank you for confirming the new quotes cleverly remove any reference to their original intended use in 'deep space'.

I'm still surprised that high-sec miners never actually adapted to all the suicide ganging and simply carried on getting themselves killed but I suppose that says more about society and their senses of entitlement than it does about internet spaceships.

I have never been suicide ganked even once, I don't know how other people make such big targets of themselves and then expect to have a right to complain.

maybe because the changes weren't solely because of the gankfest but also that the training times were all messed where people would straight train to the Hulk and skip flying other ships because in comparison, the training time and added yield were worth the wait, thus fostering a breeding ground for inexperienced miners. If any new miner were to ask for advice on training and what to fly, a majority of the time, someone will say, train straight for the hulk and don't bother with any of the other ships.

so CCP is bringing the training times and skill progression in line to make the other ships relevant and we should see more use out of them.

people will always spin things the way they want people to see them, even if CCP makes it clear in the initial devblog what the possible changes will be and the reasons behind them. sometimes i wonder if anyone actually fully reads them before they go and start threadnaughts about it, there have already been a few, you could have just added to that 127page conversation instead of starting your own you know. Obviously you didn't read my OP and are just spamming off-topic discussion like half the posters in here. Cheers for shitting up my thread a bit more mate.

edit: To be fair, I like the "not a high-sec ship" twist to justify a "new" thread. Good trolling fundamentals. Kudos to Lady Spank.

because she's special, and we should pat her on the back for her original insights which no other gankbear scrub has ever whined before.

Feel free to point out any high sec suicide gank I have taken part in, because I don't recall ever having done so. Thanks for proving how worthless your opinion is since you are incapable of posting objectively.

Deep space is defined as any region of outer space beyond the earth and moon.

So again, how is deep space limited to nul? Deep space is pretty much anywhere in eve. If you wish to refine the definition, it would at best be any part of space outside the influence of any planet's gravitational pull. That would still fit for belts in hi, low, or nul sec.

Come on, you can troll better than this.

Feel free to point this out in the New Eden dictionary. Stop using old fashioned Earth definitions as they are irrelevant.

just because you don't post with your suicide gank alt doesn't mean you don't do it, just means you hide it well

CLEARLY NOT MEANT FOR HIGH SEC

They would banned from flying in 0.5 an above

Your another troll PVP pilot who is actually gonna have to use expensive ships to play your Hulkageddon

lolz no?

I don't know why you have to be so personal since I clearly stated this is not the subject of this thread. I'm sorry you can't read very well but please ask someone to help you through the difficult words next time to save yourself from looking so stupid.

1. I do not partake in suicide ganking.

2. How can CCP implement forced game rules on elements of gameplay that were 'not indended'? That is possibly the most dim-witted sentiment I have read on these forums in some time.

1.) If you do not partake in suicide ganking then why all the concern? Us "real" miners aren't complaining....
2.) It's CCP's game, and if you don't like it you can adapt and HTFU, they have their reasons, i'm sure it may have SOMETHING to do with the recent player survey that went out ,that is very thorough in regards to wanting to know how their players play their game. I am quite certain that the analysis of this survey and past surveys will help provide them real feedback on the game. certainly, if they wish to remain a professional company, they wouldn't be basing their development plans solely from the forums. It's not a very good "sample source" and there are tons of BIASED opinions being tossed around here along with spiked coolaid. I commend them for listening to the REAL player base, you know, the ones who never post on the forums.

I believe CCP start to act when they lose money. Most likely hulkageddon ended up with few thousands unsubscribed mining alts accounts ($15 * 12 months * 1000 accounts = $180.000 per year) - thus necessary change to please miners and return these subscriptions.

miners are notorious for having excessive amounts of accounts. I personally have 5 accounts. I've heard of some with upwards of 10 or more Shocked

Untanked hulks are squishy now.

Untanked hulks will be squishy after the patch.

I fail to see the problem.

edit: Oh right, some people actually think they're going to give up yield in favor of tank. They've always had that option, and have never taken it.

And for that, they should burn in their hulls.

Also, I am a reformed high-sec AFK "greed-fit" miner (who never lost a Hulk outside of 0.0) and I fully endorse either Exhumers being banned in high-sec or miners tanking their ****.

L2FitProperly or GTFO

so people should leave the game because they don't fit their ship they way you think they should? look who cares how people fit their ship, if that makes them an easy target, then they will pay the consequences eventually.

If I were ratting and wanted the most bounties I could possibly get (because I'm greedy) and I sacrifice a PVP fit for PVE max DPS, would anyone care but me if i got ganked or lost my ship? I knew when I undocked that i was not fit for PVP therefore I assumed the risk. So just accept the fact that each player is going to assume their own risk for whatever (sane or insane) or even illogical reason and just leave it be.

Merely regurgitating the new descriptions is not an explanation for anything.

it should explain plenty, their intent...Shocked

and by "their" i mean CCP's, they are moving forward with this clearly, you might as well not even read the old ones. as they no longer apply (in CCP's eyes)

Simple, todays generation know how to get what they feel they are entitled too, which is risk free no thought gaming. Complain loud an long enough an CCP gives it to them every time.
After Jihad CCP went OOT an boosted concord, now, that miners have figured out that all they have to do is scream an cry loud an long CCP fall over themselves to make it easy for bots an afkers to have their hands held. None of them want to be responsible for themselves, they want devs to play for them.

Miners dont like risk, an the botters jsut want to bot in peace without any repercus

They were never intended to be used in high sec anyway.

Clearly they were not intended for the starter systems which comprise high-sec empire.

Isn't that a neat way to twist the words of CCP.

Quote:
The Megathron has established itself as one of the most feared and respected battleships around. Since its first appearance almost two decades ago it has seen considerable service in the troublesome regions on the outskirts of the Federation, helping to expand and defend Gallentean influence there.

Quote:
The Talos began in YC 110 as a R&D concept by ORE. Conceived as a patrol craft for mining operations in lawless space, the Talos would have been abandoned completely were it not adopted by the Black Eagles, a black-ops branch of the Gallente government. The Black Eagles stripped the Talos of non-essential systems and bolted on battleship-class weapons, creating a quick-strike craft ideal for guerilla action.

By your logic, battleships and battlecruisers should also be banned from high-sec, as they must be intended for low-sec.

So here, I twisted your words as you do as well, and made a silly statment just for you to get attention.

P.S
"Deep space" means low sec only?
I though "deep space" is pretty much every space. Or how deep does it need to be in order to be "deep space"?
1 jump from home planets? 10 jumps? 100000 jumps?

Stop crying like a little baby. This is getting more stupid by the minute.

I vote to make pods invulnerable in high-sec. It is clearly ment to be safe there. Maybe ban weapons all together from high-sec. There is concord, so no need to shoot pirates.
(Obvious stupid last comment is obvious, just to show how stupid your whinings are).
