I paid 1500 ARU for my goggles. I got it free from CCP. If CCP gave me 150m Isk I would ahvew bought ships and fitted them out. I did not get 150M ISK free what I got was 2 payments of 1k ARU each so I spent my free ARU on something I could and wanted.

If you think about all of this I have spent no real money and no ISK to get something I wanted ( I like the goggles from when I saw them on SISI), I think it's win win. If anyone does not well then try converting ARU to isk by buying something and selling it if you can.

Not really. To the lolresearch team it just shows as X amount of goggles was purchased and Y amount of Boots. I doubt they add in a clause that checks to see if said item was destroyed or not. In the end all your doing is promoting the NeX store which some are still opposed to.

But then it still bothers you, that someone purchases a complete vanity item. I have enough ISK to purchase whatever I want in EVE and I already have a number of faction ships which were expensive but of little practical value to me.

To make one thing absolutely clear, this is a sandbox game and I decide how I want to play it. If I decide to head back into action I will purchase a number of PvP ships, or rather take some from my hangar, if I decide to buy something only because it looks nice, then the decision is also mine.

If it becomes known as a common practice of protest, they will check for trashed NeX items.

If they wanted to just delude themselves into the NeX being successful, they wouldn't check any numbers anyway and thus it wouldn't matter what you do with the given Aurum. Just assume they care about numbers, believing anything else would render everything about this matter meaningless.

It would be cool if you could use the 100 aurum to have a corp themed background for you pilot image.
It seems as of now you can only use it to get things only you can see and only when docked in an area where there is nothing to do but walk a couple meters : /
