CCP should reduce mining, not improve it.

Back in the days Battleships were half a billion or more expensive. Dreadnoughts were a rare sight to see. T2 items were very expensive due to guilds controlling the limited supply

Nowadays you see every peasant fly Battlecruisers and throw them away like candy. Blobs of Supercapitals are common sight in nullsec.

Mining was once a decent profession, but now it is worth nothing.

The problem is that there is simply too much minerals circulating within the universe.

CCP needs to reduce the supply of minerals, reduce the number of belts within the universe and instead of static belts, it would

be random belts that spawn.

The day will return when ship losses are painful and when Battleships cost a billion.

With lesser belts and random belts, the supply of minerals will drop like a rock, the cost of ships shall rise greatly and it hit the wallets harder when lost.

It will come to a point where even nullsec alliances will have great trouble supplying ships to the massive dumb and illiterate cannon fodders they control and will be forced to cut down on size.

Mudflation: pretty damn srs bizness.

But seriously, I honestly don't understand why CCP aren't doing anything about mudflation in Eve.

OP is heavily invested in minerals I suppose Roll Inflation is bad in any case and this would fuel it.

I agree. It is disgusting to see ships like this being common sites.

Revolting. CCP needs to nerf income.

Nah just kill insurance so the loss of a Battlecruiser is actually the 35mil hull cost and make Fleet Cruisers a realistic Concept in the upcoming Cruisers re-balance. Big Ships are used because the small ones suck. Look at the new T1 Frigates, they are everywhere now after the rebalance.

Players flying big ships often is not a problem, it is what most of us pay for otherwise we'd all be flying Vipers on Battlestar Online.

Damn these Peasants!!! How dare they intrude upon my wonderful game experience?! Don't they know that they're too POOR to fly? Why haven't they all been locked up on station yet?! The audacity that these bumpkins show by flying in anything larger than a shuttle is vile and must be punished!!!

Where's my TEA, dammit!!

You! Slave! Have the slave responsible for my tea executed immediately!

The only way CCP can do this is by banning 90% of people who mine, or make asteroids hold 1k ore each instead of the 20k or whatever in high sec

Edit: Disgusting? Really? Thats the word you use?

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

back in my day an Armageddon Class Battleship cost 1.2 trillion isk and was flown by no-one because there was literally not that much isk in the game.

ok iam guessing your older then 08. The game has moved ahead what 9 years from 03. Markets change more player base add more income to the game and more mins from people mining.

get over there more people flying bs and caps there more player base. My guess you have no clue how markets work when you add more people and there income to the game.

Get over it and move on.

Back in my days HD televisions cost over a months worth of wages. They were a rare site indeed,

Now HDTVs are such a common sight and every peasant seems to own one.

The day will return when the average Joe will be forced to go back to SD or even better black and white.

HDTVs need to return to their rightful $8000 price, and be affordable to only the cultural elite.

Didn't play "back in the day," but I always thought it was cool hearing stories about "omg I just got a CRUISER." Truth be told, it doesn't hurt me too much to lose a fully fitted battleship.

But the only reason this is possible is because EVE has an actual, functional economy.

Basically, New Eden discovered the middle class at one point.

Occasionally plays sober

My first character, Andrasta, is from June '03 and honestly I have to laugh at this 'back in the day' crap. I never have had problems progressing to larger ships when I felt the need for them (though I prefer command ships and smaller). It wasn't too long into the games launch that I had a cruiser either and I don't recall that being difficult (not getting blown up by mOo was another story though). This mudflation is equally laughable, the game is aging and there are more players adding more to the market, simple economics. As you said though, Eve has a middle class now. Its a shame the few who feel entitled want to crush it and make serfs of everyone, I guess the game is mirroring the real world in that regards.

I to believe that the poor shouldn't be allowed to have fun in the video game that I fly. Every time I see someone flying around in a Battleship I am enraged at the idea of such rabble even owning a ship in the first place. If a person isn't required to grind massive quantities of ISK to fly even a rudimentary ship they should not be allowed to undock.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

Well even a goon has made a sarcastic post countering the OP so you can't really put this awful thread on them.
