If I want to get into Faction Warfare and Incursions....

Could someone briefly educate me on these. I seem to read about these activities being very lucrative and I would like to get involved. I am currently in a corp with only a few members pvp ready, and I feel I am very close.

What are the skills I should generally have trained and what are the bare minimums for mods and tech that I should be using?

You seem to have a problem figuring stuff out on your own, perhaps EVE is not the game for you.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Too be honest, while Rengerel may not be too smooth with his words he does have a point, coming into the forum with an overly general, "Explain these things to me.", when there are guides and topivs galore, even in the top sticky in this forum.

First, faction wars, it is PvP, running missions and plexing, you cannot be in FW and do incursions at the same time. Well, maybe you can, but I would not recommend it.

Incursions are all PvE, I don't know much about them except you need a fleet, and you shoot stuff. The fitting requirements are high for the main groups that do them. Go to the Mission forum for more answers there.

Lastly for fitting, well, if you are talking faction wars, faction wars is all about the pew pew, so combat skills.

General questions get general answers, but if you use google and the forum search there is a plethora of information on everything you asked.

Thanks for the intelligent response, and Ill say this. I have read a lot on this game, many things have saved me unnecessary headache. But no reading can serve as well as experience and hearing things from those who have that experience. So I dont mind you pointing out that the material is there at all. I mind dorks who make useless posts even less.

But thanks for the brief rundown. Answered some of the questions I had.

If you're in faction war you wont *need* to run incursions

FW is the choise for you ...

Considering the age of your char (atleas the forum alt) .. you wont have any business in incursion fleets for a long time. The cashdays are long gone and the ones flying there are V skilled and faction fitted all around.

So FW it is .. there you can make some cash and be useful with lesser skills and budget.

Thanks a lot, just the response I was looking for. Im not V skilled in the main things I think I would need to sustain a pvp lifestyle, but if I can get into something where Im at least contributing and making good assets in the meantime, im satisfied.
