Why do my drones mine in RED

I am new to the game, but being smart, I realize that RED is bad!

Alert! Enemy! Bad Person! Danger!11

also

Red is for when my mining drones are Mining (in the Drones window).

How about changing the color of this word?

If you notice the game uses the color red to indicate something bad has happened or might, or a bad person is near.

Pirates show up as a red + on the overview and in space.
People with very low sec status have a red icon.
If someone steals from you? red icon.

The game uses the color Red to indicate danger.

It also uses Red to tell me that my mining drones are out mining. Half my brain says "danger! I see Red on the screen!" And then I have to override my brain and say oh no, that's just drones out mining an asteroid. Drones out mining is a good thing. But because the game shows the word Mining in Red, it looks like there's danger on the screen.

I believe thats also how its coded.

Yea but you only get "red boxed" by something if it is actively agresing you.

He's not talking about getting red boxed.

He's talkiing about what colour the word in the drone window goes as a status.

Green means idle.

Yellow means transiting.

Red means active.

You guys are great at understanding how the game currently works.

But I didn't post this in a "help me understand the current game mechanics" forum.

Let me make it clear:

I perfectly understand WHY the game uses the color Red for the word Mining.

again:

I don't like it.

My IDEA is to replace it with a color not related to combat or danger.


My suggestion is to change how the game works, I'm not asking you to explain current game mechanics to me.

The issue is that mining drones aren't handled any different than combat, ewar, or repping drones. To change the color of just mining drones is a lot of work for a very dubious pay out. It may be alarming, but I don't believe that there's much in the way of loss due to the system. Without that loss, I really cannot justify asking CCP to recode mining drones to be different from other drones.

Let´s recap:
Green means: "inactive, just flying around your ship": Can be done by all drones, should stay so.

Yellow means: "flying to a set place, mostly hangar, but also suround target without shooting": Also done by all drones.

Red means: "Engage": Obvious by fighting drones. But EWAR, logistic and mining drones can only do EWAR, support or
mine, so it is easiest if it is written in red letters, isn´t it?
