CCP ran up a debt on "TRUST US GUYS" and the players have decided to call in that debt.

We were very patient for years. Enough is enough.

Even the sycophants cant stop people from calling bull on what they have done and not done.

To be honest if those leaks hadn't happened it is most likely that there would not have been the outrage there was. But it showed the players that we were consider little more then cows to be milked for money to the company now.

They just plain don't see us as people anymore. Now they view us as an obstacle more rather then partners. They have a wapred view of things and that's pretty much a death knell for a game company when that mindset sets in.

In RL I have been both a manager and a business owner.

My good customers were treated with respect and an absolute passion to keep their trade with us.

My "bad" customers were treated with 10 times the respect and 10 times the passion to keep their trade with us.

Business 101.

Well I'm in a wait and see holding pattern. I tend to think that the information I have read, points to the fact.
CCP executives have taken their eye off the ball,

in their collective mind we are indeed the goose that keeps giving. All their business decisions seem
based around that "truth" and eve's revenue is being used to expand into other projects. Which is fine
as long as you don't starve the damn goose.

The executives, consultants and MMO market "experts" seem to be the one's that really decide
on eve's direction not the game designers or the players.

Lets face it up to now we have kept giving. During my holding pattern I'll see if they can deliver the things
we as players want. I'd like to hear this from the people making the real decisions, not the guys on the
sharp end working on what they are told to work on. If more half baked half finished crap is churned out
I'm off and I'll take my cash for both my accounts elsewhere.

Only change skills these days really anyway.

I haven't read the responses here, and regardless of whether the OP is a troll or not, I feel pretty ashamed to be among the same overly-entitled player base that keeps touting the "I'm paying your salary" line over and over.

I love this game, and will give Dust514 a shot when it comes out (and pray for a later PC release), and generally don't give 2 damns about WoD. I do believe CCP needs to maintain a certain level of focus on FiS, and hopefully the events this summer have really caused a change in behavior from them. And I still support them, and hope for a real redirection of effort.

I currently have "door" enabled, and was ecstatic to read t0rfi's blog about the return of ship spinning. It's bizarre that people who bitched about losing ship spinning, upon hearing about their return instantly took up the position of "Oh, look, CCP, way to introduce something that brings us backwards in development! Roll"

Was removal of ship spinning wrong? Yes. Is bringing it back good? Yes. Should CCP have listened to test server feedback when it was repeatedly stated that people wanted a disembark button to enter the CQ? Yes. And I think, after the backlash of negativity of the past months, it'd be hard for them to move forward without listening to feedback in the future. But being negative about a overwhelmingly positive change is ridiculous.

It seems that the current flavor of feedback to CCP is just hate without purpose. Very frustrating. It'seasy to imagine that when nothing but insults and threats are tossed out, with no concrete constructive purpose, it'll just lead the dev's to move back to ignoring the player base since all we are capable of supplying them with is threats of "I pay your salary, so if I quit, then you don't get paid, LOL!"

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

Eve should be treated like any disbediant child. No matter how long invested, be it 1 day or 7 years like the OP. It comes a time with everything when you jsut have to let go and say goodbye. Now if this disobediant EVE child doesnt buck its idea's up i think that times come for many..

Eh, I never saw an issue with the game to begin with, and the content available is enough to keep me occupied for......... *Checks interwebz*....... 27 years.

Cool.

Regardless of what CCP does in the winter with Eve, the release of Dust, and perhaps the full release of Incarna are reasons enough to like them. And yes, I would like them to release moar stuff, but some of you have gotta' let it go.

The pie is a tautology

this summer has been a solid case of group think from the eve vocal community.

The implementation of Incarna has been tough. a lot slower than I had expected to start off with. This winter they say 3 other captain quarters and establishments. I hope that is the case, and the production of Incarna ramps up.

It could just be the speed of computers they are waiting for.. I don't know.

Just I feel this last year has been the building of a solid foundation. Many items have been fixed, side stepping super carriers, I expect to see some spurts in the next 2 years, with inferstructure for incarna being stolen from World of Darkness, and the finishing curve of Carbonizing Eve.

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

By 'playerbase', you of course are referring to the less than one percent of butt hurt bittervets and various other whiny, self important, wannabe game designers that post on the forums. Not the two hundred and ninety thousand other people that simply play the game and have fun.

Right?

Expecting value for a product or service you're paying for isn't being "overly-entitled".

You know, I see this accusation being leveled a lot around here, so let me say this:

If you have evidence that members of the CSM are engaging in RMT, there's a process you can follow to report them to CCP and get their cheating asses banned.

If you don't, then kindly shut the **** up and go polish your tinfoil hat.

I think it's pretty obvious, even to CCP that the game needs a complete refit. They could even throw a relaunch event for it because, we know how CCP loves events.
