Come on, ever since the unkillable Iteron V was invented as a bait ship, people have talked about such things. And guess what ... if it looks like it's a trap, its BECAUSE IT"S A TRAP. Which is why the new rebalanced ships will be used in novel ways, but will still be mostly just ... mining ships.

Oh, and you seem to have forgotten how long it takes to target anything in a mining ship P

What this is the new era of PvP, like ganking and gatecamps classed as good practice.

So of course your target will sit there for 15 seconds while you target them.

the move is good ? you want to pvp ? go search pvp opponents not miners , you want to play the king of pvp Stop gate camp ....

but doing such requires effort right? !!

CCP it's time to remove Off Grid Boost and Put Them on Killmail too, add Logi on killmails .... Open that damn door !!

Doesn't need them. The 15% tears mining bonus that Vaerah pointed out more than makes up for it.

Only people I see whining about it are griefers, goons and their pets. I don't see it as a dumb move at all...more like the people who can't wrap their heads around the idea of mining ships getting re-balanced... are dumb. But saying people will starting fighting in fleets of mining ships was pretty dumb as well.

Hell yeah! I want a mini Gomtu (from Star Trek) pet to follow me into warp and where ever I go!!! If it could loot and salvage, that would be all the better.

As for making a PvP Procurer - lolz. Even if they make Strip miners degrade and harvest hull material, you only have ONE high slot. So yeah, a fleet of 50 Procurers could take on something... but splitting the payout would suck.

Never liked having mining ships and combat ships, anyway. You should just have ships and what they do depends on how they're fit/rigged. Take the Millenium Falcon for example, it's a freighter. But it helps kill two Death Stars and LOLs at the Imperial Navy (who, in true EVE-like fashion always fight at 10:1 odds with supercaps). Could a Providence or even a Battle Badger have done all that?
