Miner ehp buff is ninja tech nerf?

The higher ehp of all exhumers (and barges) will discourage what I refer to as "casual ganking".

With fewer exhumers being ganked demand for new build hulks/macks etc will likely reduce. Lower demand leading to reduced tech requirement in refilling the pot. Less demand will lead to less cost reducing value of tech.

It's hardly "kicking tech in the balls" but surely it will have some limited effect.

Thoughts?

It's half four in the morning and I am thinking aloud.

Troll on trolly mctrollson.

Much love

(And yes I have ganked more than a few hulks in the past for no more reason than it was there)

The buff was announced before the tech nerf. It's more a rebalance of ships ignored for the last 8 years.

It very well could. Shows how sad null and low sec are really. Most tech goes to hi sec for hulk, and very little towards pvp ships.

Your kb tells me you know not of what you speak. Hundreds if not thousands of t2 ships are killed every day in 0.0. All I am saying is it's one less bit of pressure on tech demand.

My kb is above reproach. and it is a bit less pressure on tech demand. Sadly the problem is not my kb, but the amount of goon propaganda with otec and the costs of hulks really. Hopefully someone who hasn't been brainwashed by them yet, comes in and tells you more.

Some people speculate the main costs of tech after aug. 8 will be the cost of fuel for pos and cost of cobalt with the alchemy ratios, not really the armor on barges. Besids with new armor, can't gank them mining ice, which makes pos fuel cheaper, which makes tech cheaper. At least some goons told me that.

Surely the stated/planned tech nerfs sort of outshine this 'ninja' one?

If it was a ninja nerf, you never would have seen or heard it...until it was too late. Shocked

Due to the changes to the ships, I can see Hulks being in more demand for the first few weeks, but certainly after that in alot less demand due to alot less deaths.

So long term, yes this is a major nerf to not only Tech, but T2 invention of Hulks too.

Anybody have any solid numbers on the volume of Hulks sold per month?

How many units of tech go into their manufacture?
