I miss when CCP heard their players, but didn't always listen.

Seriously. They do a bang up job... found some revolutionary ideas .. and then go and listen to fucktards like me that post on the forums.

Don't do that.

I have no clue how to develop a game. Same with 90% of the ppl on here. I will tell you what I like and don't like. Yes, please listen to that. But for the love of all that is holy please remember .. its a game. It's your game. Don't mess it up by looking at every insult and suggestion this forum has. Goes double for CSM.

How many warm bodies actually vote for the CSM? How many trial accounts? And there is a handful of these persons that get flown out, wined and dined, and then basically yell at dev teams for hours at a time. I don't get it. EVE has over 200k subs and you talk to 10 people. The medical community would laugh at those numbers for a case study.

Tell you what .. why not have a senate? Eh? One person for every x subscribers. The senate votes on committees. Committees are task forces that advise certain teams, etc. Each committee is lead by an actual dev or community manager... I don't care .. just someone who can keep them on task and on schedule.

Senate also votes on CSM. There. Done. You can still have the CSM, but you also have a more accurate representation of your player-base, even if the senate is going to be mostly rabble-rousers.


Go back to loving what you guys do, not trying to please the masses. If they don't like it .. TS .. move on. If they don't move on .. there is something wrong with their thought process.


(BTW, yes I am american .. call it parliament or senate I don't care.)

I believe this thread deserves a medal of commendation. I can tell you If I said this I would have used more words that get *ed out and it would end in a mess.
