What is the minimum DPS you'd recommend for an assured kill - say on a Mackinaw, Covertor, and a Hulk? Pirate

Depends on the Fit and Sec level of the system.

If you want to be absolutely sure of the kill in a 1.0, I think 5-6 Nados will do it (Brick Tank+Tengu Boosts).

Recon and scan the target, calculate the tank. Minimum is that amount plus one...

I tried this fit not long ago...had no problems blowing up solo Retrievers in 0.5-0.6 systems. Even managed to get a Retriever and his buddy in a noob industrial in a single run before concord showed up.

Edit: For a Hulk i would recommend at least two Catalysts to be sure...especially if they are tanked. The more the better.

If this is one of your Republic Military School assignments then I suggest a trip to the library where more detailed information can be obtained.
