I find Tachyons can be better applied for missioning. Cap booster solves the cap problem.

personally i can't be assed to use my cap booster unless i mess up a trigger or something. therefore i also use faction tachs and CCCs, so my ship is capstable when i'm not tanking. lazy? yes. suboptimal? yes. comfortable? hell yes.

I should buy an Ishtar.

cap boostign wasnt an issue till ccp took away cap booster drops from missions. lol

my nm is nearly 1200dps and there is not a mission it cannot handle. I have had a few close calls. last room of worlds collide when i got thrown into the middle of everythign and got full agro..
overheatign saved my ship that much i can say :)

Not in Caldari space it isn't. Lasers don't really hurt Guristas.


It does quite well in Caldari space, but yeah, I plan to haul it over to Amarr to get my standing with Amarr back up. Use the right tools for the job.

Capacitor stability is an issue for those that want to be laid back,although i havent tried a large booster(good booster) with crystal implants.Still it can be fitted to keep 3 dmg mods and be cap stable.
For those that have company in missions(duel bocing maybe),a domi is a good help since you can tranfer shield-armor and cap between both ships and have 2 overtanked BSs in a mission site.

When you really want to get serious with missioning,the nightmare is the king for lvl5s compined with a single low skilled Domi.With compined DPS more than 1300 you can blitz lvl5s and can possibly do more than 6 lvl5 missions per hour(depending on if you know what to do in lvl5 missions).Depending on the missions given by the agent you can make 4 to 7 missions per hour with the nightmare-domi set up(or perhaps a basilisk).

It works out pretty expensive when you take out what you could be making by using those LP for items with a decent isk/LP conversion and purchasing the ammo for ISK instead ;)

It's a false economy was the point being made I believe.

Back on topic though, I really like my nightmare, it is by far the best mission boat I have used.

I am based in Amarr space also, and in Sansha and Blood missions it really shines.

That is not to say that it is bad by any means in those occasional Angel and Gurista missions you get, because it isn't. It goes a little slower than it would against Sansha rats, but not particularly slow compared to a vanilla BS.

I'm pretty convinced it would take me a fair bit of training in missiles to be able to be as effective in a Raven or CNR even vs non-em/the weak rats and even then.......

Versus gurista you still insta pop almost anything before it gets anywhere near you, it's only the BS's that take a little extra time.

I warp into mission, start heading for next gate then just start popping all the small targets at range. I rarely get my drones out, maybe only for angel webbers, spider drones and the occasional elite frigate.

And I don't even have T2 Tachs yet, still 4 more days. :)

Still haven't decided if I should cross train for a Mach as well though.... hmmm

Don't bother. The t2 crystals aren't that hot and the faction tachs are very good and use less cap.

4 crystals = 75 missions in amarr space.. thats give or take a couple missions.
its what i like best about the nightmare.
