Yeah, i don't care about the isk(realizing I'll make at least a decent portion back, anyway). From what I have put together on EFT the catty, brutix, nado all seem doable, though I would be extremely pissed if I can't get that last shot of in time in a more expensive BC. I do have the character slots available, so I am also considering going with 2 catalysts, but i'm not sure I really want to use 2 slots for -10 sec chars....will see how my testing on sisi goes

Can't believe I'm doing this as I tend to be a miner more than a pvp'er, but a couple of extra notes....

1) ALWAYS OVERHEAT YOUR WEAPONS! Your going to lose your ship regardless, get every little bit of dps you can squeeze out of your oh-****-fire-fire-fire moment before Concordokken.

2) Keep a pad of paper to the side, or notes on char sheets, and be sure to keep track of who was tanked and who was not. The changes in EHP for the upcoming patch are notable, even on the Hulk. So if the guy is tanked, but was easy to swoop in on, mark him as 'buddy'.... and next time bring a couple of buddies to take him down. If the guy is not tanked, mark him as 'Gravy', because you will try to take him first whenever you spot him around in system. If they guy is always warping out as you are warping in, mark him 'Mouse".... not worth trying to jump most of the time unless you're extremely bored (he is aware and scanning).

3) Wanting to know how it stood from the other side (best way to win a fight is knowing str / weakness of both sides), I tried out some attack / defense with my buddy over there. Came to the following conclusion.... If they are in a Mackinaw, don't bother unless you have several friends with you and are in .6 or .5 space. If they are in a skiff.... don't bother unless they are in low sec or 0.0. Just can't kill those damned things in time.

lol, thanks. I wouldn't say I'm a miner (do a bit of everything), but I'm much more a carebear miner than a pvp'er, so I hear ya. Thanks for the tips. Watching bots strip my belts 23/7 over the last couple months has motivated me to leave my carebear ways behind...for a short while at least ;) And a pirate alt just seems handy to have anyway.....even for a carebear.

I'm not particular on race or weapons, my #1 priority would be to minimize training time. Cost of ships, skills, fitting, implants - within reason - should not be a problem. Obviously I'll need to train the weapons, hull, thermodynamics, but unsure how far I need to take these skills and what support skills will be most helpful.

Mostly I'm unsure what hull and weapons I should going for, the rest should I should be able to discern from EFT.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is a massive fleet of miners (20 hulks + orca/rorqual) that run mining ops in Eha. Go there sometime And wreck havoc.
