Let's see if you proceed on an upward trajectory or flame out before reaching orbit like so many others with promising careers.

Finally one who sight goes beyond the narrow views of the many. Its slightly appaling that others cannot see the obvious. So keep a good watch out for me, my ambition is only outmatched by my determination.

Nobody's views are narrow here, whelp. I do not question the strength of your will, I question how you temper it. The blocking behavior refers to the show of 'look at how many fucks I'm giving' in the face of advice. If you just wish to parade, I can recommend several venues that exist only for it's patrons to show off.

For once, I don't disagree with the delightful Silas. However, simply embracing your freedom is not enough.

I can only say that quantum theory applies to you here. Parade..hmm. The good old if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around does it make a sound. Well, no it doesnt. And a model doesnt have a show without the crowd to look on. So, I say to you being the crowd...If you dont like the show.....

Yes.

And apparently my education must be meaningless. I thought if you talked like a total bad ass, your killboard would demonstrate some talent.

Four losses but no confirmed kills by Concord? I would find myself a new master and take lessons--Mrs. Vitalia seems to have taken a shine to you. Perhaps you should beg her to take you under her wing as I did. Maker knows, she is perhaps the most influential force in my combat style and philosophy as any I have flown with. Even with your sparse record, her cruel tutelage could probably make a decent comba pilot out of you. At least you could tag along on some of her hunting trips and get a combat record to where other pilots will take you seriously. But, please, don't try shoving her out of an air lock. It will not go well for you. She would probably turn you into a eunuch, and then force you to walk around in a thong and dog collar and serve cocktails at her next social function.

If you moving to Khanid and being otherwise instructed by a master of low sec PVP such as she does not intrigue you, though, we, Ganked and T Bagged, might be interested in teaching you, since you love to fight and are apparently in need of direction.

Whatever the case, unless your killboard takes an erectile dysfunction drug and actually "gets up" to the size of your ego soon, please stop filling the IGS with even more egotism than it already has present.

May I ask what this thread is actually for? So far all I have been able to identify is a frankly incredible amount of chest beating from all parties. That and a rather hilarious display of fawning over Silas.

Very amusing. So my own self teaching by way of trial and error, which by the way should be painfully obvious to even the layman seeing my age and sp level, is fodder for your contempt? I am amused, which is the only reaction you will ever get from me.

And while you may hold this other person on such a high pedestal, she is unknown to me aside from her tactless attempts on taking on what may likely of been her greatest pupil. I will continue to learn in the way that has allowed me to gain all that I have at the moment, even in spite of losing a few low isk frigates to much larger ships. Even a clone with minor cybernetic implants. Losses which did nothing but teach. Lesson in experience far greater than that in word.

And yet I still prosper. I still gain. And in time I will have all that is due me. Mentor or not. And what then? What is said when I am much more than you are, gaining with less than you were given? And I will.

And to all else, pardon my ego. I know only confidence and self determination.

Truth be told this thread was initially a form of self therapy. A way to let out something that was scratching away inside of me. A frustration if you will.

Its both unfortunate and amusing that some became so vitriolic towards one who lives in the way that the EVE universe fosters.

The universe is highly unfriendly. Be strong or die.

You only have half of the formula, you are failing to understand the other axioms of survival.
- only the strong survive
- there is strength in numbers
- making enemies is dangerous and reduces your survival prospects

So far you have done nothing with this thread but make enemies needlessly and spurn offers of friendship and advice. You may think yourself the solitary hunter, but you are the straggler that lingers far from the pack. You are easy prey.

The young think that their strength will save them. The wise know that it is their friends who will.

Rall is too kind, but not incorrect regarding the eunuch comment.

I'd suggest steering clear of him or requesting his help, Arakkis. It might save you quite a bit of time and effort.

And my dear Rall I've not taken a shine to him so much as attempted to encourage some potential, not unlike someone else who has done quite well for themselves *wink*

Thanks for the words from both yourself, Silas and Scherezad. Ive always done things the hard way and long ago I decided that while it may make things far more difficult, I come out on the other end better than I may have doing things any other way. A strong believer in healed scar tissue being hardest to damage again if you know my meaning.

And contrary to the belief of some...I have friends. Friends in high and low places. Ones who will come when needed and know that the same is expected of me.

But personally, a friend is just an enemy that you are on a first name basis with. I trust no one. I will never trust. EVE tells me so.

My apologies. It was a long thread full of some rather boring stuff and I may have skimmed some bits rather than reading them fully. (No offence intended, this is directed at the whole thread, including chest-beaters and otherwise)

Your assessment about vitriol is misplaced.

Here I am to offer you a hand.

If you do find me so abrasive, however, then my apologies.

Ok then I'll bite. What do you offer and be forewarned, I trust no one. I feel the best way to go about this EVE life is to look at everyone as a potential enemy or victim.

Actually, scar tissue is significantly weaker than normal tissue. For example, heart attacks leave scar tissue behind, which in turn weakens the heart. This is part of what leaves victims of heart attacks more prone to further complications.

Another example more apt to your metaphor would be skin tissue, which is far less flexible. Epidermal scars are prone to tearing when stretched by comparison to normal healthy skin, and scar tissue lacks many of the functions of healthy skin.

((Also, EVE is the name of the video game, not the fictional world our characters live in. Try using "New Eden" instead, or referencing the lifestyle.))
