Ran a couple of sansha watches today and got this escalation. I was wondering what sort of tank/dps I would need.

I was thinking about using a cane, but can't decide on fit. I can fit both shield or armor T2 tank, and T2 guns. The last cane I used was passive shield for level threes, but that just won't work I think.

EDIT: Just had a thought, double ASB cyclone?

Yeah, the last site is in low sec so you'll want to make safe spots and probably use a cloaked ship.

I did find both of those link before posting, they were helpful. However I don't know what sort of dps tank the drake, and which missile system(ham or HML) he was using getting 400-500 dps.

Perhaps i didn't make the op as clear as I needed to.

I can fly minmatar BCs with T2 guns(arty or ac), and can fit T2 shield or armor tanked. My first instinct was to go with a cane, because it is teir 2, however I don't think the 166hp/s(armor, basically capstable) tank v sansha will cut it, however it is around 500 dps. A duel ASB Cyclone gets me 330 dps tank, but only 330 dps.

I just don't have any idea how much tank or dps I need for it, and I don't want to haul multiple ships/fits into lowsec while I scramble to figure out how to run it.

It isn't that hard, mainly Frigates and Cruisers with a few Battlecruisers, just watch the triggers and do em last. A good fit up on a Force Recon Cruiser should be ok, a T3 or Command Cruiser will definitely romph through it.

The thing to worry about is other players trying to warp in and get you. Usually a cloak and safe spots and using Directional Scanner will help keep you safe. I usually do the 'Scorched Earth' policy. Make sure you Bookmark the site beacon and after you destroy a few ships, take only the high meta lv loot and destroy the wrecks, warp out to safe spot if people show in local, cloak up and after they leave, go back and continue. As long as the Overseer is not destroyed, the site will remain active.

The site can not be scanned but your ship can be scanned with probes. The wrecks can be found with Directional Scanner which is the reason for the 'Scorched Earth' policy. Just watch local and do Directional Scans for ships and probes looking for you.

I remember completing it in a T2 fit Force Recon Cruiser - Rapier - shield and speed fit.

Anyway, good luck to you.

as long as you have a cloak and safe spot, you really only need to hit dscan every 5-10 seconds to be safe. if ou see combat probes on scan, warp to safe and cloak up until the piwates get bored and leave, then then warp back to the site. as for damage/tank. almost all lowsec sites can be soloed in a Command ship or strategic cruiser. there are other well suited ships such as drake (for angel space) or ishtar.

I should buy an Ishtar.
