see I'm confused, we have detonated over 2000 nukes on us soil already. why would one more fallout from half way across the world matter?

Thats not how it works... you better read up on say Chernobyl and the effects of a nuclear plant gone wrong and the consequences, also some general radiation science.

First, there are 3 isotopes that are released in the disaster, Iodine, Cesium and Sulfur. Iodine has a half life of 8 days, highly dangerous but half its intensity in 8 days. that means it has been halved over 50 times so far. Cesium is the longest with a half life of 30 years. Sulfur is 80 days.

exact levels according to enenews can be found here (ie what has hit Monterrey bay )

to summarize, by the time it got to the united states, it cant do you any harm. we get 4400 every day from Normal potassium intake.

tl;dr -- Japan & TEPCO are covering up the worst nuclear accident in the history of mankind, and are effectively sitting around doing nothing but hiding the facts from the public. On a scale of 1-F**KED we appear to be completely and utterly ***ked.

Guess you are born after 1986, Chernobyl was also a severity rating 7 accident...
