Hi,

I am keen to try faction warfare and am wondering what ships are the most commonly used? or does each malitia use its supported races ships?

Thanks,

Depends what part of FW you are talking about. If you mean what class of ships are most common in plexesit would likely be Destroyers and Cruisers, the ships you run small & medium in. Farming, ask one of them I don't know.

Keen to get into PVP, but it also needs to be sustainable. Probably going to make an alt for it so I can still mission to make isk till I figure it all out.

So I guess the questions is what would be the ship I need to train an alt for to be able to get into fleets.

If you are just trying to learn pvp in general, you may want to give the following blog a read. Quick read, good info, and may help a lot deciding what you want to do / the path to go about it.

TY, I will look through the site, but lets say I wanted to join Minmatar militia, should I train minmatar ships? or do they just use any ship at hand ?

Use any race you want. Minmatar is a good choice.

Personally, I still fly t1 cruisers alot. Plexing mechanics are a pretty good equalizier.

You don't have to fly minmatar ships in that militia, but the faction ships normally get used by that race because they are cheap.

Regardless you can't wrong with Vexor, Rupture, Arbitrator, or Caracal. The new T1 frig changes made them work too. There are plenty of cheap sustainable options for all races in FW because of the plexes.

Find a good corp and learn from them. Sadly, people in general militia don't get a fair shake because people are worried (for no real reason, IMHO) about spies.

I use frigates and thier t2 versions but I also have a few Feroxes (Actually good now) for the bigger roams. I also have a few crusiers

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

The most used destroyer is the thrasher. both the arty and AC versions are used. Possibly the most used cheap ship in FW overall.
