I'm offering free Orca bonus for mining in Otela.

Just in the same fleet
no offer of hauler,
no corp members,

Good luck with that.

Nobody has ever accepted an invite to my mining fleet (I invite in local or directly via convo), and I have a max skill & mindlinked mining booster, max skill & mindlinked shield booster in a Tengu, and a max skill & mindlinked armor booster in a Legion. Also, I would hope a pretty good reputation.

I think people are just suspicious of fleeting, because it makes warp-ins easy.

Also note that you are less likely to have people want to join fleet in an ice belt system like Otela. Many don't want the cycle reduction, other just aren't human.

- 0.5 system
- Name of your corporation
- No reputation as Orca pilot
- Free?

Suspicious, anyone?

I would also mention you should be careful yourself. You invite someone to fleet, they can also hop ships and open fire on your Orca. If its legit, it is a very generous offer, but sadly there are a lot of people in EVE that thrive on being iceholes and always looking for an angle for a free kill or gank.

Luck,

There is a special Hell for people like that, Right next to child molestors, and people that talk in the theater. ~Firefly

They can get a warpin but fleet members don't have any particular rights to open fire on each other.

It would be suicide gank.

Orca pilot could easily scan all ships and figure out who to gank.

You don't need to be within the Orca's targeting range to receive bonuses. Heck, you don't need to be on the same grid!

You can still warp to member.

Because nobody has cloaky alts to get warpins for them?

The time to start worrying is when your Orca booster asks for reps and you end up being blinky red to the entire RvB war going on in Otela.

I should point out that Otela is the home system of the Red Federation. Mining barges sometimes go 'missing' in our belts when we get bored.

My only comment:

Suddenly no mining in Otela.

Hope you get it. ;)

I would hope that being ex Red-Fed and providing the local market with goods for you guys to get kills with I would have some sort immunity ;) But I have noticed that other than Ice miners there doesn't seem to be that many miners in Otela, bonuses are nice but to get them from a stranger is a bit of a none starter.

Also if people want stuff to gank, try clearing off some of the anchored (but offline) POS's in the system there are tons of em (im not just saying that so I can set up mine). hehe.
