If my alt has a high sec pos for research and whatnot, can I give full access to another alt not in the same corp? Also what skills would I have to have minimum on the alt with the pos to maintain it well?

By setting a password, you can get your main inside the shields. Other than that, you can not give POS access outside of alliance. Outside of corp, the levels of access you can give are very, very limited.

No. You can give access to the forcefield but that's about it. I think CCP is thinking about ways to screw with POSsen in general but they're not talking yet.

- Anchoring 3 or anchoring 5 with some levels of Starbase Defence Management if your POS is armed.
- The ability to fly a large industrial ship (mammoth or bigger) or a freighter.
- Supply Chain Management if you're going to be remote-starting manufacturing jobs at the POS.
- Scientific Networking if you are going to be remote-starting R&D jobs at the POS.
- Spreadsheet-Fu 3 or better or SQL-fu 3 or better to manage any invention/manufacturing projects well.

If you are going to be remote-starting any jobs at the POS you need an office in the same system your POS is in. Then you can keep your BPOs in the office's corp hangar while putting any material component (datacores, minerals, whatever) in the appropriate POS module. POS modules generally give a time bonus to R&D and manufacturing modules. However, Advanced Ship Arrays (any size) also give a materials PENALTY to building T2 ships.

If you are going to be doing any T2 building then having a component array at the POS is a very good idea. That way you can build the T2 components and RAM at the POS (and get the time bonuses) and the rest of the stuff at a station. Doing everything at a POS can also be done but you need a medium tower and 2-4 inventing/manufacturing toons to do it well.

Hope this helps.
