AFAIK, you don't get insurance payouts if a ship is destroyed after you eject. A price is paid, so this is nowhere near as bad as you make it sound.

In fact, you inflict GREATER damage when someone does this than if you had acquired a killmail. The only time a killmail would be important is if they are flying some sort of super sekrit fit.

people insure their ships?

I have seen folks who deem themselves to be ~elite pvpers~ eject from dying ships in this manner, yes.

Also, I love how OP equates "leet" to not being the victim in KM's.

"Leet" is being the aggressor on many KM's.

I've tested it on sisi as well, and I can say for certain that you don't lose SP if you eject before your T3 is blown up.

I'd prefer to have the lossmail. It's a nice way to show off wealth and/or how much people want you dead.

what if your objective is to get as many kills as possible?

Or do you mean, eve is about YOUR objectives

Denying killmails causes way more tears than ECM ever will :-)

Approve this message (good luck timing this 'exit' in a fight outside of 1 v 1s)

I don't think any of our guys would even bother with killmail denial. No-one who really cares about lossmails stays here long. :P

Lost my first BC the other day but it didn't generate a mail due to a bug. Sad

I can't see how that could possibly help you in any situation. If you're not in nullsec then you're not in danger of being bubbled, so your pod can always warp as soon as your ship blows up. If you are in nullsec and you happen to be in a bubble, 9/10 times you'll want to stay in your ship as long as possible and burn toward the nearest edge of the bubble if your objective at that point is to save your implants. Unless you're flying a cap ship or a non-combat ship you're probably faster than a naked pod, not to mention much tankier.

But if you're flying in nullsec with implants you don't want to lose and are not willing to replace, you're an idiot anyway.
