The ISK Pro guide lists the agents for the Caldari COSMOS missions and the systems that these agents can be found. I am someone who has very little missioning experience - im only at the beginning of Lv2 missions.

Can i go and find one of these COSMOS Level 1 mission agents and start doing COSMOS missions or is there more involved to allow me access?

I don't want to waste my time.

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

They can be quite profitable and offer amazing standings increases with your home faction. The pay is generally NOT commensurate with regular missions of the same level. And the storyline "faction" mods and BPC rewards are often worse than Meta 4 variants. But, again, amazing standing gains.

Here is a great guide for Caldari COSMOS - http://www.scribd.com/doc/16401872/Cosmos-Missions-101 - from L1 to L4. I'm sure there are guides for the other races as well, just google it.

Only thing you need to start a COSMOS mission is proper standings. If you fail the mission however, you will not be able to get it again - ever. So before you take a mission, do some research and make sure you can actually complete it.

Many COSMOS missions require you to obtain a certain item. Those items can often be found on contracts. Buying them will dip into your profits, but it's an easy way to complete a mission and you will still get the standings boost from it. Also, if you somehow screw up the mission or you find you can not complete it - getting the required item from contracts might be your only option.

Let the gun do the talking!

Did you tried Ark missions Lvl 1 first ?
Decent faction standing, NO PENALTIES ! and kinda fun in a destroyer, renewable every 3months

It's my opinion but i would let my Cosmos agents up to the day it will make a difference.
(like i need a faction standing, FAST !)
As Cosmos missions (and Tags agents aswell) are a one-time only gift, spare it for the day you will need it.

I made almost all the Gallente Cosmos (but the lasts Lvl 4) got scammed sometimes because i was unable to run the complex, lost some drakes and more... and made my jerk with standings later so basically, i won nothing good. It was youth :)

I would not do that again for sure.
Like the other day, i was in need of 5% faction standing fast... i was glad to give a cosmos agent 20 copper tags Blink

If you're going with regular kill mission, you will always end up with courier Storyline, which is a ****** pay in matter of faction standing.
9.90 Corp standing. 2.1 faction.

Yeah, as everyone else said, most of the Event Agents can only be completed once in the life of your character and will give derived standings, both positive and negative, towards all Factions. The only exception are the Epic Arcs.

If you're looking to gain Faction standing quickly, check out 'The Plan'.
