I love how its the 'roleplayers' who seem to want to flip-flop their character creation decisions.

You are supposed to create a character and roleplay it.... not change your mind every month, because you want a hood or another race has cooler stations or whatever!

Part of the concept of immersion is to create a character and immerse yourself into the world with it. Thus being stuck with the consequences of actions you take or decisions you make. The ability to change race because you suddenly changed your mind for the flavor of the week (cooler looking stations, hoods, etc) should be limited. However, say you chose to be a Caldari pilot, but frequently work in Amarr, the option to wear the local dress (robes, hoods, etc) should be available to pilots. I mean, you can train to fly ships from other races, so I don't see why it would hurt to be able to wear clothing from another race. But the concept of changing race is one that would screw up continuity. The point here is that you made a decision, you're stuck with it. If you want a character of another race, make an alt.

I don't want an alt that involves that thing where you have to train up all of your skills,

I want to give CCP money,

Then log in,

Click the gal race tab,

Click the female tab,

Play with my Barbie,

Then go fly space ships that i could all ready fly the day before, while playing my new gal barbie.

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

While I feel that the roleplayers do need to simply roleplay within the constraints of the game (for example, the Amarr that wants to be a Gallente should roleplay an Amarr who wants to be a Gallenete, rather than just switching to Gallenete), I think the idea of swapping clones/features/etc. is a good one. Someone in this thread mentioned that they'd like to see this be a player produced service. I think that's a great way to handle it.

Make "Genetic Blueprints" a craftable commodity in-game. So, someone with the skills and resources can, say, create "Gallentean Male Genetic Blueprints".

The skills to make the blueprints may require Biology 5, plus a handful of supporting skills, like 'Gallentean Genetic Research', 'Amarrian Genetic Research', etc. etc.

Perhaps the blueprints to make them can be created via using planetary commodities, like Data Chips, Biomass, Proteins, Water, Test Cultures, Viral Agents, Nanites, and Biotech Research Reports.

So, the Amarr guy who wants to be a Gallente simply needs to purchase a Gallenetean Male Genetic BP off the market, plug it into a station service (perhaps at a station where he has significant standings), and redesign his clone.

as cool as that would be its more likely to get added in if it makes more moneys for CCP.

CCP have said in the past that they might introduce 'multiple clones' as in ones of different races/genders for you to jump into.

I can't find the link just now, but it could happen.

I seriously doubt that's what they meant.
