Hey Sakari Orisi, you and the rest of the pyfa crew are ******* awesome.

Just FYI

Update: Both the market group issue and the HAM issues have been fixed now. If no new bugs get confirmed today & tomorrow, I'll put up the new build (as well as adding the retri 1.0.1 changes)

(Retri 1.0.1 changes would mostly affect the capital stuff, the rest is largely irrelevant)

sorry if ths has already been reported: ham damage implants (AM-70x) don't seem to work.

I should buy an Ishtar.

After untar'ing and running "python.exe" on Vista 64x. I get the following popup:

"Access is denied.
LoadLibrary(pythondll) failed"

followed by

"d:\path\to\PYTHON27.DLL"

This sounds vaguely like a problem from an earlier version of pyfa, but my google-fu fails me.

Update:
Well I can run from source just fine, however the windows installation pyfa.py (in the same dir as pyfa.exe) keeps failing to import sqlalchemy. Which is odd, since I can run the import try/catch block just fine in a test file. *shrug*

Edit: Solved
Turns out that I didn't have 'read & execute' permissions on the dll (and other files.) I had to replicate the parent folder's permissions down the tree to get pyfa.exe to work. So anyone using Cygwin's tar to do the extraction might have issues.

The Guided Missile Precision skill isn't being applied to torpedoes, rockets, and HAMs. GMP affecting unguided missiles is new in Retribution.

Scan resolution seems broken for me. Stacking rigs + other fitts should diminish it's effect, but that doesn't apply, giving false values.

I've no idea what you mean, more info please. Which 2 modules together should have stacking penalties ?

Targeting system subcontroller and sensor boosters.

Rig description : Penalty: Using more than one type of this module or similar modules that affect the same attribute on the ship will be penalized.

Thisone doesnt apply.

Edit : Just checked it again...scripts using with sensor boosters also seems broken.

I can't untar pyfa. Here's the error message:

tar xvjf pyfa-1.1.11-retribution-1.0-mac.tar.bz2
[...]
x pyfa.app/Contents/Resources/staticdata/eve.db: bzip decompression failed
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.

Sounds like your download got cut off / corrupted. Can you try downloading again ?

There seems to be quite some corrupt downloads about, I'll see if anything is wrong server-side this weekend on that aspect

Explosion radius and velocity aren't displayed in the fitting window for HAMs.

Its in the charge stats, so this is just a display issue in the fitting window.

I tried to build pyfa from source instead but I have a problem with one the submodule. Trying to clone the repo directly, here's the error I get:

$ git --version
git version 1.8.0.1

$ git clone git://www.evefit.org/pyfa-staticdata.git
Cloning into 'pyfa-staticdata'...
remote: Counting objects: 2131, done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (2032/2032), done.

fatal: pack has bad object at offset 21054271: inflate returned -3
fatal: write error: Broken pipe

I tried to replicate this, I've been able to clone the pyfa-staticdata repo just fine.

A fix has been made for this, I'll release it this weekend.

You might not have gzip in your path. I had a similar situation at work when running cygwin's tar from a Windows CMD prompt.

note to self: add c:\cygwin\bin to path env var.

Sorry if I missed it as I haven't read all the pages on this thread but is there a windows installer version or a set of install instructions, I'm new to pyfa and trying to use it for the first time.

EDIT.

I will say that the readme.txt doesn't ahve any instructions I was smart enough to check there lol.

All you should have to do is download the windows version, extract it (using, for example: 7-zip) and then run pyfa.exe
