Hello all thanks for reading my post.

I am wondering if someone would be able to give me some advice on what would be most efficient for my character plan wise?

I am unsure on where to go first. I currently pilot Amarr Recons for PvP engagments, though I would like to dabble in exploration/anoms etc (This would require time in Science). I could go for an Ishtar, which drones would benefit my PvP ships (Carrier is something I would like someday to). Or I could go T2 guns as I can train my Legion subsystem skills. Also 13 days from Gallente Cruiser V/Proteus.

Ewar is also something on the table as I pilot Recons, maybe get high Ewar skills? Perhaps also go for Recons V?

Was also debating Amarr Battleship and Energy Turret V (As noted I would have T2 meds for a Legion) for some lvl4 action on quiet days/downtime.

So wondered if anyone could offer some advice on what be the most efficient for what I am after?

Thanks in advance,
Lee.

You described like... 5-6 fairly different paths to take. You could bounce around those 5 different paths for months, and still not have a solid ship.

I can't say what YOU would like to fly. But I can recommend that you pick 1 ship and make it damn near perfect. If you are in doubt about which ship, train skills that apply to all ships.

Drones need a couple months
Gunnery needs most of the support skills at V to really make the guns shine.
Recon is a very good skill to train to V
Armor comps for the races you mentioned

Looks like your current remap will work for drones *kinda*

Get evemon. Make a few skill plans and use the optimal attributes calculator.

Don't buy skills for no reason. Train the ones you have. You don't need MORE skills, you need BETTER skills.

Consider doing missions for isk. Or rats and Anoms if your living in null. This will improve your combat training and make isk at the same time. (I assume you currently mine for isk)

Hi RavenPaine thanks for your reply.

Yes indeed I have many paths to choose. Unfortunatly I am that guy who cant make up his mind :) I have been doing anoms in an Arbitrator round high sec.

I have decided to get T2 Large Turrets and maybe Battleship IV for more effienct lvl4's. Then decide what to go on after that.

Again thanks for the advice.

It will really depend on what you want to do. I made a point to say...I want to fly ALL THE THINGS. So, I'm working towards that. I also tossed in a few R&D / Etc just to have more skills, but we'll ignore those for now.

Password is kobold

Battleships are FUN, you will enjoy them, look at your Light/Medium drone skills to handle pesky frigs and your gunnery skills. Core skills for the Capacitor are a must, as well as to the powergrid (engineering) to help with fits. You will absolutely need them. I've LOVED having them.

I would say, look at the Marauder and what certificates are required to fly a Paladin and use that as a road-map if battleships are the path you want to take.

the ishtar is a very good ship for exploration. it's relatively cheap, has good dps that does not rely on cap and high slots for damage. if you consider going the drone way, ishtar is one of your top candidates.

I should buy an Ishtar.

In a WH corp this isnt nearly as bad a thing as in K-space. The other consideration is less focused characters resale value plummets. As this is your first character, being less focused is sort of unavoidable.

As you are currently P/W, I'd put your points into gunnery, to use t2 medium energy turrets and have some nice gunnery support skills to 4. DPS makes for better = Profit, Ganking & safety as you get the job done faster. I notice your armour compensation skills are token right now. Depdending on the WH class you can leave that if you do decide to get into the recon things & other stuff.

Depending on the state of logistics & good FCs in your corp, getting into t3s before t2 guns is viable. The K-space wisdom of having awesome skills first is fine for k-space but WH control is a bigger priority than isk efficiency. It wont take long b4 you can fly a legion well with t2 guns anyway.

Personally I think DPS is better for now, depending on what class of WH you are in, assuming you can already fit a t2 tank. Dont get t2 armour plates, they are more expensive and inferior to the meta4s.

N.B. If Wormhole life is definitely for you, Start thinking beyond this one character to think about what could be better on another character. The routes back & forth to k-space are unreliable and having the skills for characters in the right locations is important. Its uselss having trade skills inside a wormhole.

Broadly speaking Cov-Ops-scanning-alts & bearing homebody toons aside, having a PvP/ Sleeper killing toon that can scan & fly cloakies & get podded out, rolled out or deployed to away from your home system is handy. Your isk making wont grind to a halt, unless your system is contested of course. Depending on how many accounts you have makes a dramatic difference to if you can spare a slots to characters that won't routinely be logged off in the wormhole. Every character that is not logged off in your wormhole is unable to do Planetary Interaction.

You will need a scanny alt, Cov Ops is essential
Buy a focussed character from the Character bazaar. You could also get a t3 pilot for not much more. This along with a Hisec alt is probably the only character you should have on your account that lacks Planetary Interaction Skills.

A Character on your account that can fly Iteron V
Gas Cloud Harvesting 5 If you have a 2nd account, have a character that can fly an Itty 5 & cloaky transports for the corp and your Gas Huffer for when you are soloing, possibly get the hauler character into Orcas for hauling & boosting & WH mass manipulation purposes. Your Gas Huffer mine gas & fit a gang link if you were to make it your booster.
Industrial Characters sell poorly which means you can pick up broadly suitable characters relatively cheaply.

Someone that can anchor bubbles. The skill for this, Anchoring, at level 5 is a prerequisite for Starbase Defence Management which will allow you to control one POS gun for each level of the skill. This character could also be a leadership alt allowing for bigger fleets, boosts etc.
Flying Heavy Interdictors is both good for closing WHs critically disrupted as well as their tactical use. Ask around your corp and see how well this role is covered. This is good both for your combat character & a carebears.

Having a Hisec Alt for trading can be handy both to make isk for yourself and get more favourable prices for the corp. It can be an OOC toon & combine with hauling incase you get wardecced. It could be Cov Ops & Scanny capable & having Cyno5 can be handy too. Having a non-hauling, station trader in your own PC corp also makes for a good scout & Cyno character.

Hopefully I have not given you information overload. I have been wormholing for nearly a year and am also rather anal at times.
