Surely the service interruptions are troublesome and inconvenient.


The matches are not affected, and you didn't pay extra. Everything will be on youtube, don't whine so hard :P

Um we did pay, we paied in tearms of dev time... and money that could have been used for something else.

with some luck, all service issues will be resolved by finals weekend.

Doing a crappy job of something and then trying to rationalize it 'oh but its free' doesn't cut it. If someone defecates into your mouth and then you start complaining about it, would you accept the excuse of "Well I didn't charge you anything for it" ?

It's hard to have sympathy when the stream was DIRECTLY paid for, with plex, not to mention owned taking their cut with all those annoying adverts (I've seen the Ice Age 12 trailer a dozen times today alone) - it's not like live streaming over the internet is a new thing either, so they can hardly use the pioneering a new tech excuse. It's long past the "It's free and new, don't complain!" stage. CCP get plenty of money in subscriptions each month and this tourney is as much a way for them to promote their game and increase income as it is to do something cool for us.

aside from streaming issues, its been great thus far. new tournament template with these larger groups, the on screen module monitors, its a good deal.

THe tournament is a brilliant event, and madprops to CCP for running it.

However, doing a crap job kind of impacts the positive impact they are aiming for...
