At the last match there was the usual commentary, the match started and the screen went blank!

At the end of the match you switched the screen back on so that we could hear commentary about a match we did not see.

You call this service?

Service would imply your paying for it, when in fact it's being streamed for free.

99.9% of the time it's running fine, so I'd say they are doing a pretty awesome job.

**** happens and unfortunatly today was no exception.

Dear nub,

32 alliances paid a total of around 1000 plexes to enter the tournament. This amounts to > 15k USD in money to fund the AT and streams. So no, it is not free.

Hello friend.

You should remember that CCP must pay 2 separate round trip flights for 5 different commentators between their homes and Reykjavik, as well as hotels for each person. For this year they also built an entirely new studio, and that means thousands in furniture and all the audio+production equipment that they need to provide us with a quality stream.

This is not to say that the stream was perfect and could not be made better, but in my opinion even with the weird audio sync issue and occasional dropped feed, this year has been miles ahead of previous years in terms of overall viewing experience. Neither I nor anyone I know reported any issues with bandwidth or lag, something I really appreciate over years past.

It's free for anybody who is not in one of the 32 paying alliances. :)
