CorpoFasist Moderators Ban Artist!

The CorpoFasist moderators of The Summit have show their true colors.

Recently, I did a short skit on the public access channel called 'The Summit.' My skit was an anti-war ART CREATION designed to show case the horrors and tragedy of war. After making sure that no one had posted in the channel for five minutes , I performed a skit that took less than a minute. I was immediately banned with no warning and no notification.

Tell me, my fellow capsuleers, have you sold your soul to the military? It there not a single spot in your heart for art that values life as opposed to ISK?

I am new here. I have no experience and am merely trying to reach out to my fellow capsuleers, as can be heard in my latest single (Won't you) Give me a Chance?* Yet all I have been met with is anger, insults, and threats.

And now my voice is silenced without reason.

Yet, I will carry on. My silencing has moved me to create a new line of t-shirts to express the pain I feel as I come to grips with the true nature of the capsuleer community.

That's RIGHT. Brand new Memory Syphon t-shirts! 1/500 of every currency you spend will go the the Memory Syphon protest movement. Show YOUR SUPPORT of Freedom by buying one now. Buy one for your friends as well. Let no one OPPRESS innocent artists in New Eden!

Here's a preview of our fabulous protest t-shirt.

Lass, "The Summit" is moderated by a varied group of moderators from a number of different organizations; including, but not limited to: Pirates, paramilitary organizations, Nation loyalists, faction loyalists and independent capsuleers.

Did you bother to read the MOTD upon entering The Summit? That's your warning. Also, randomly linking to images and GalNet sources is frowned upon.

Your voice clearly isn't silenced, because you're still raising a fuss here. However, if you spoke and acted with reason instead of apart from it, you might find people more receptive of your message. The branding of anyone opposed to you as "corprofasists" (whatever the scrap that means) and personal propaganda doesn't give you credibility.

The rest of your...post, isn't worth addressing.

And none of them are corpofascists?

Nothing in the warning suggested that skits, art, or anti-war speech was not allowed.

I don't consider linking to my new t-shirt when the t-shirt is in response to being banned 'random.' If you're talking about the Summit, I'm not sure what you mean as I didn't link to anything there.

I've never interacted with you personally or insulted you. I have not suggested I know your character, intelligence, personality, or attitude. You seem very certain you know mine.

Someone evemail me logs of this please.

Ms. Syphon, the Summit is not a place for you to show off your art. While it is not strictly disallowed, any art that goes against the policies of the Summit, or that are found to be potentially disruptive to the intended operation of that channel, will result in a temporary ban. Repeated offenses net larger and larger bans until someone gets fed up with you enough to ban you permanently.

If you feel there has been an issue, contact another moderator and we will all have a discussion about it. The discussion may be us laughing at you.

If you have an issue with the moderator teams collective decision, you can contact Cardinal Graelyn, but you won't find him particularly receptive to having his time wasted.

That's a tough break, baby.

But hey, you don't want to be there anyway! A girl like you should be under the spotlight. I'm thinking about opening a club up to draw in the Eggers soon, maybe I'll give you a buzz and we can work out a gig!

By the way, before you accuse me of being a Corprafascist, you should know that I am just a plain old normal fascist. If Ive found you have been breaking the rules or trolling I will freely and happilly use my moderation ability to keep you off of my fluid router. Good luck!

I have not mentioned anything regarding your intelligence, personality or attitude. What I've pointed to is your behavior that I've witnessed, primarily here in IGS.

For those INTERESTED, sales of my t-shirts have reached 500,000. I assume this is because the cluster is STILL NAPPING.

I'll keep you updated!

And how am I to contact ANOTHER moderator if I don't know who the moderators are?

This is the first time we've interacted.
You HAVEN'T contacted me personally.
I cannot connect to the Summit.

List please. I'll send you CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies for it.

Me, Morwen Lagaan, Verone, Merdaneth, Leopold Caine, Ava Starfire are the ones who are often around and active. Probably it is one of these who banned you!

By the way, if you feel that you have been unjustly banned, its helpful if you send me logs of your performance.

Your t-shirt and cookies will be going in the trash, I wouldn't bother.

Wasn't me.

This thread isn't really doing much to convince me that it was a bad decision on the part of whoever made it, though. Particularly given that usually it's the ones who actually needed it that complain the loudest when the hand of Mod comes down and slaps them across the cheek.

But yes, fluid router logs are your best defense right now.

I am a summit mod.

I am as far from a corporofascist as one gets.

And I would have banned you.

Might want to turn things down just a notch, hmm? In my society, walking around naked to show one's tattoos is acceptable. In the summit, it is not. Is it "repression"? Not really. It is avoiding crossing the very touchy social boundaries of others.

In short? Grow up.

Oh, is that what she was doing? That certaintly isn't what they sent me. Then again, I asked for logs and I got a simple 'retelling' and a performance of the song, which was awful.

I have no idea what she was doing, as I wasnt connected. However, based on the context of her other posts and the "art" she shared here, I'm pretty sure she was not selling Little Ishukone Cookies.

In short; it's their game, their ball and their rules. If you don't care for them, feel free to leave their yard.

Why even bother with the Summit channel? Too much noise and not enough signal for my tastes. If you're interested in expressing yourself in ways the Summit finds unacceptable it costs nothing to start your own channel and advertise it.

The same could be said of your posting on the IGS in general. Never contributing to a discussion, just repetitive pissing and moaning. Maybe we should call you Nick Bleat instead?

The mods have been working on shifting the Summit's ratio back towards the signal-heavy end of the spectrum for a while now, and have been having a fair amount of success lately, with a few exceptions that have been promptly dealt with.

So how about you fix your own signal-to-noise ratio before whining about others?

What we have is an example of why I think admission standards could use tightening. We didn't have this claptrap when I was a student there.
