Why would they make a pvp-centric (and advertised) game cater mainly to pve players?

Considering that the items produced by PvE can often be the focus of PvP, both market and ship to ship, improving PvE gameplay doesn't really make the game PvE centric.

I just want to read one good post in this thread. Only one. Is it really so much to ask?

Good posting died a couple years ago on these forums. Now it's a whole lot of forum warriors beating their chest, introducing only data that is favorable to their position, whining like they carpet burned both knees on subjects that they do not even participate in and just in general try to f*ck others over not because it is in the game's best interest, but rather their best interest. Everyone has lost their mind, lack any real objective viewpoint and in general engage in more pvp on the forums than in game cause nobody thinks they are wrong and they don't ever have to acknowledge that they lost.

Well, in the so-called sandbox, nobody is right, because there is no one right answer. Damn shame that no one is smart to realize that fact and then go about their tending to their business. Might actually gain some more players. But this place has become just like the fallout of the 2000 Presidential election, and people that come check us out most likely turn around and walk away, shaking their heads at the crying clowns that can't just play the goddam game.

Then we need to discuss what "improving pve gameplay" means.[/quote]
There have been plenty of suggestions on that including things like more dynamic missions vs set spawns, improved AI's, fewer, stronger NPC ships that come closer to a PvP experience, and more engaging exploration content that follows some storyline vs a series of random encounters. Take your pick.

Yeah, apparently you haven't noticed, but pretty much the ENTIRE NULLSEC COMMUNITY has been begging CCP to rework Sov to make it less wildly biased in favour of megablocs. Including even the members of those megablocs.

How's that going btw?

Not so good.

Then again, CCP doesn't tell us everything, so they might have plans to fix sov (or break it more...).

I believe PvE is the source of just about all meta 1-4 and 6+ modules, via BPC's or direct drops, as well as pirate and most navy faction vessels and also materials necessary for T3 production. Granted in cases such as BPC's further player interaction is needed to make the final usable item, but it doesn't change the fact that the means to produce it came from a player to NPC interaction.

And yes, we can live without them, but if we did Mission PvE would have it's major isk sink eliminated and WH's, DED complexes and faction and commander spawns rendered comparatively worthless.

Well Incursions and wormhole anomalies are pretty much exactly what you're suggesting. I agree about the exploration though - it does need a revamp. I guess solo incursions (or something similar) would be nice as well. As long as it doesn't generate more rewards than l4s.

Ask the CSM; I'm not included in the decision making process

Quick question and I would appreciate a straight answer, not a political song and dance.

How does nerfing PvE content six feet into the ground make for a more enjoyable game?

Straight answer to a straight question.

Activity A yields 4 gold bars per hour

Activity B yields 8,305 gold bars per hour

Activity C yields 4 3/4 gold bars per hour

Activity D yields 3.5 gold bars per hour

Activity B is apparently wildly popular. Should you nerf it six feet into the ground?

@Rain.. what PvE got nerfed? And that six feet into the ground?
As far as I could see other posters talk about not refurbishing/fix PvE content fast enough (which is a personal opinion as everyone has got his pet peeve), but straight out nerfing?
