Someone care to explain Incursions to a MMO rookie?

I'm happy you feel more confident now! Just want to highlight one little thing you said: " I will be in PVP space today!" As already mentioned, there is no PVP space. Space itself is always PVP. Just remeber that.

Also, if you venture out in lowsec (I think that is what you mean by PVP space) make sure you understand how gate guns and station guns work. It's true that there is no CONCORD to save you, but there sure are guns around that WILL shoot the agressing player. These guns are called sentry guns and are usually around stations and gates. Those guns can blow up your frigate, so be sure you are not agressing another player at a gate or station (it's ok to shoot back when someone is shooting at you though). And even when the fight is over and hopefully you won, there wil be a 15 min cooldown in which those guns will still fire.

Right, I have read a bit on them as well. Well, I did get my first kill of sorts last night. A guy was harassing one a group of our miners and fortunately for them I was docked at the nearby station tweaking a build. The person was doing whatever the term is for grabbing loot from their jetcans and being a nuisance in local chat.

Well...unfortunately for him I was in a Brutix and also had a couple other corpmates in nearby space who warped in. Guy tried to make a run for it and while my mate had him scrambled, long rang rails perforated his puny ship.

I almost gleeked I was so elated lol.

Didnt see him again the rest of the night.
