Space. It seems to go on and on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.

In FW territory I see way way way more Lokis ... then Proteus ... then tengus .. but they are minority.

So are lokis overpowered ?

True, when I see a T3 in low sec PvP it's mostly a Loki or Proteus. In gate camps fast lock Legions as well sometimes.

Sigh.

Shall we start from the start.

The Tengu

Average DPS with HMLs but excellent projection, good DPS with HAMs, but HAMs come with their own issues, lets be clear on this, the only really useful thing the Tengu does is DPS and Tank, nothing else.

The Loki

Very fast with excellent kiting ability with Autos a strong shield tank coupled and huge web range. Good DPS with autos, great alpha with Arties, excellent tackle when armour tanked for ABHAC/Hellcat gangs, the Loki can do DPS, Tank, armour and shield tank and has extended web range, making it an excellent gang tackler.

The Proteus
Awesome DPS at close range, the only really practical Cloaky Solo T3, HUGE buffer tanking numbers, excellent tackle for ABHAC gangs, the Proteus does huge DPS up close, awesome tank + LR tackle for ABHAC/Hellcat gangs.

I have no experience with the Legion, so I will leave that one.

Bascically OP needs to learn what T3s are used for outside of Level 4s.

Well, it has already been stated that CCP does not like how the T3s are in comparision to the other cruisers.

Example: A tengu is better than a cerberus in every way except cost.

That's not even to mention how they make command ships obsolete.

The comamdn ship obsolecense thing is the most griveous part for me. Commadn ships are harder to trian for and are slightly weaker.

Commadn ships could use a boost AND at same time T3 coudl very well get a nerf like reduce resitances to Recon levels.

I'd love to see field command ships given more combat viability, let t3s do their boosting, if FCSs become viable as a pvp ship for small gang work I'd fly nothing else. TBH the old eos was where field commands should have been, even if the astarte needed a buff at the time.

For PvP perhaps.

When you ask for fittings for PvE though, the universal answer you get is "Grab a Tengu instead".

A Caldari ship is not really all that great in PvP, but solid in PvE?

I don't believe you, that sounds unlikely. Roll

I've been surfing the ships and modules forum for a while, one thing I've noticed, it seems you certainly have a lot to say about modules and other aspects regarding EvE online. Is there anything you are satisfied with? Please, I ask that you don't misinterpret my intentions, but are you sure you like playing EvE online?

Oh look, it's another 'Tengu is OP' thread. How quaint.

I don't think it is that the Tengu is overpowered. I think it has more to do with the fact that the Tengu does EVERYTHING extremely well. The other t3's fall into very very niche roles. The Tengu can fill almost any role you need and usually do it extremely well.

I am not saying the Tengu needs to get nerfed down, because that is usually never the answer to a problem. However, I do feel that the other t3's need to be looked at to bring them up to par with the Tengu, or at least a viable option in most cases.
